He wasn’t brilliant like his only start against the Milwaukee Brewers this season, shutting them down for 7 innings, allowing only 4 hits. Still, in comparison to the gem thrown by Yovani Gallardo, striking out nine in eight innings, yeah, the playoff opener for the Diamondbacks ace kinda sucked. More

The batting title in the NL went to Jose Reyes, the first Mets player in history to lead the league in batting average with a .337 to Ryan Braun’s .332. Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers won the AL batting title with .344. More
