Florida beat East Carolina

With Florida beating East Carolina in the Birmingham Bowl we come to the end (almost) of the 2014-2015 bowl season, which leaves us with just one game in this college football season (national championship game) while it also makes a perfect time to review all the scores and check which conference stood out thanks to its members taking postseason seriously.

There still is the Toledo and Arkansas State game, but as power conference elitists, we’ll gently forget about that game, because people mostly care about how badly the SEC West did and the redemption of the Big Ten.

December 20 – The New Orleans Bowl is won by Louisiana-Lafayette against Nevada (16-3), Utah State beat UTEP 21-6 in the New Mexico Bowl, Utah crush Colorado State 45-10 in the Las Vegas Bowl, Air Force beat Western Michigan 38-24 in the Idaho Potato Bowl and Bowling Green win against South Alabama 33-28 in the Camelia Bowl.

December 22 – BYU were surprised by Memphis in the Miami Beach Bowl, losing 55-48.

December 23 – Marshall make it a one loss season with a 52-23 win over Northern Illinois in the Boca Raton Bowl and Navy squeak past San Diego State 17-16 in the Poinsettia Bowl.

December 24 – Western Kentucky beat Western Michigan 49-48 in the Bahamas Bowl while Rice run all over Fresno State 30-6 in the Hawai’i Bowl.

December 31 – Ole Miss begin the downfall of the SEC West by getting crushed against TCU in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, losing 42-3. Boise State do it again in the Fiesta Bowl, this time beating Arizona 38-30 and Georgia Tech beat Mississippi State 49-34 in the Orange Bowl.

January 1 – Wisconsin get a 34-31 overtime win over Auburn in the Outback Bowl, Michigan State pull off a miracle 42-41 win against Baylor in the Cotton Bowl, Missouri break away from Minnesota with a 33-17 win in the Citrus bowl.
