A couple of firsts for both Duke and North Carolina on the same day, as the Blue Devils were not included in the AP Top 25 rankings for the first time since the preseason rankings of the 2007-2008 season, while the Tar Heels, losing 71-65 at Louisville, were beaten for the first time this season in ACC play. The College Football season is over with Alabama as national champions, which gives them the number one spot on the final rankings, followed by runners-up Clemson at number two, Rose Bowl champions Stanford at number three and Ohio State, probably the second best team in the country at least, settling for the Fiesta Bowl and the number four spot. Navy and Western Kentucky make rare appearances in the AP Top 25, and the same goes for Houston and Iowa (despite the loss), finishing the season in the top 10. More

No one new joining the top 10 while Notre Dame move up at the expense of Stanford, while North Carolina make it in for the first time this season and Texas A&M make it back, all at the expense of the ACC, with Pittsburgh and Duke getting bumped. Posted on 11 Oct, 2015, by in College Football

Just like last week, the week 6 top 25 college football rankings show voters are losing their confidence in Ohio State. Still number one, but with less first place votes, being spread out among Baylor, TCU, Utah and even Clemson, who complete the top 5. Florida are in the top 10 following another impressive win and Michigan are getting very close, while Oklahoma took a big tumble following their loss to Texas, Northwestern are on their way out while Georgia and USC are out of the rankings following their second loss of the season.
