Rockets Stun the Lakers Again, Win 95-80 and Force Game 7

Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks led the way for the Houston Rockets as they beat the LA Lakers 95-80 and forced a game 7 upon us. Kobe Bryant tried to do it all by himself but fell short, way short. The Lakers looked flat, even unmotivated and now have risky game 7 on their hands.

Another Game 7 for the Boston Celtics – The Orlando Magic got a great night out of Dwight Howard (23pts-22reb) and 20 points from Rashard Lewis, proving too much for the C’s who got a good night from Rajon Rondo (19-16-6) but not enough from Pierce and Allen.

Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups were again too much for Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks as the Denver Nuggets advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in 24 years after a 124-110 victory last night and a 4-1 victory in the series.

The LA Lakers gave Phil Jackson his 200th career playoff win as they dismantled the Houston Rockets 118-78 in LA to grab a 3-2 lead in the series. Kobe Bryant scored 26 leading 6 other players in double figures.

The Boston Celtics had Stephon Marbury and Glen Davis step up for them in the fourth along with one bad ref call and an impotent Orlando Magic Offense to win game 5 and take the lead in the series, 3-2.

Dallas and Nowitzki top ‘Melo and the Nuggets 119-117

Dirk Nowitzki scored 44 while Carmelo Anthony scored 41. Nowitzki won both battles as Dallas outlasted the Nuggets and grabbed their first win in the series, 119-117 and made it 3-1 to Denver as the series heads back there.

Cavs Complete Sweep, win 84-74 in Atlanta

The Cleveland Cavaliers finished off the Atlanta Hawks 84-74 with Lebron James producing a rather normal (for him) 27-8-8 stat line and completed their second sweep in the playoffs. The Cavs are now headed to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Hawks can start their summer vacations.
