The friendly between Belgium and the United States (Belgium winning 4-2) was about players from Everton and Aston Villa scoring against goalkeepers from the same club, with Tim Howard producing the reaction of the night after Kevin Mirallas scored an easy opening goal after five minutes.
Mirallas took advantage of some terrible American defending, as Howard was quick in his reaction to a through ball from Kevin De Bruyne that put Romelu Lukaku in a one on one situation. Howard managed to take the ball away from Lukaku’s legs, as the ball made its way to the edge of the box. Two American players, Geoff Cameron and Omar Gonzalez, could have gotten to the ball, but were beaten by Mirallas, chipping it over Howard to score the opener.
Howard went on a short yet quite audible rant, screaming Whaaaat! What the F*ck! for everyone to hear. Geoff Cameron did score the equalizer for the USA, but goals from Marouane Fellaini (also Everton player) and a brace from Christian Benteke (of Aston Villa) in the second half, with Brad Guzan (also of Aston Villa) at goal, made it a comfortable win for the visitors.
