A comfortable start for Liverpool on their Asian tour, beating a team of Thailand stars 4-0 with goals from Lazar Markovic, Mamadou Sakho, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi.
The most impressive goal of the match came from Lallana in the 52nd minute after a beautiful assist from Jordan Henderson. Both goals from Sakho and Origi (88th minute) came off of crosses from corner kicks, powerfully headed in against a very low quality goalkeeper.
Liverpool played with their stronger lineup in the second half, that included Simon Mignolet, Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, Joe Allen, JOrdan Henderson, Lallana, Origi and Ibe.
Markovic’s goal came in the third minute, with Rickie Lambert setting up the assist. Lambert isn’t expected to be playing a lot of minutes next season, but without Daniel Sturridge this time, he got his chance to prove he can do something, or at least be worth an offer from some other team.
