The game between the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers was always going to be an enjoyable, high scoring affair, and didn’t disappoint. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson caught fire at the right time, while Nicolas Batum was the opposite of clutch, missing a crucila free throw that could have sent the game into overtime.

Selection Sunday is behind us, and it means we have our 68 team field for the NCAA tournament, with the bracket set up. The number one teams will be Florida from the SEC in the South region, Arizona from the Pac-12 in the West Region, Wichita State from the MVC in the Midwest Region and Virginia from the ACC in the East Region.

The Oklahoma City Thunder do have the excuse of missing three starting players, including a resting Russell Westbrook, but it’s still hard to fathom just how bad they looked in a 109-86 loss at home to the Dallas Mavericks, pulling them even further away from the top spot in the Western conference.

Conference Championships: Virginia in the ACC, Florida in the SEC, Michigan State in the Big Ten

Selection Sunday slightly puts the conference tournaments out of the spotlight, but tournament champions were declared in the ACC, where Virginia beat Duke; the SEC, in which Florida overcame Kentucky; an the Big Ten, with Michigan State beating Michigan.

Miami Heat – Renewed Signs of Greatness
At the moment, the Miami Heat don’t look like a team good enough to win the NBA championship. However, their 113-104 win over the Houston Rockets brings back some sort of confidence not just in them as a group, but in Ray Allen as a capabale sidekick of the Big Three, outscoring the trio of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.

Michigan State vs Michigan For the Big Ten Tournament Title

Something weird happened this season for both teams. Michigan looked bad during the non-conference part of the season, but finished with the Big Ten title for the second time in three years, including beating Michigan State twice. The Spartans looked like the best team in the nation during the first half of the season, but lost seven times in the final 12 games of the regular season.

This is only the second time in five years that Florida are facing an unranked Kentucky team, but the Gators have a lot to do with the Wildcats not getting any love from the polls, heading into their third meeting of the season in the SEC Tournament Final.

Duke vs Virginia For the ACC Tournament Title

An interesting matchup between a ‘Blue Blood’ team like Duke with many feeling they’re ranked a lot higher than they deserve to be this season against the surprising Virginia, who will try and win the ACC double, including breaking a 38-year drought in the conference championship.
