Remaining NFL Playoff Scenarios
The 2013 NFL season is coming to an end in two weeks, with eight playoff spots still up for grabs in the NFC and AFC, with things quite complicated in the NFC East with the Cowboys and Eagles; the NFC North with the Bears, Packers and Lions; and the AFC North, with the Ravens, Bengals and Steelers involved in the playoff battle scenario.

Dez Bryant Didn’t Want People to See Him Crying
Dez Bryant caused plenty of headlines himself by walking off the field during their loss to the Green Bay Packers before the game was over, not staying to watch all the kneel down ceremony. It turns out not wanting others to see him crying had something to do with it.

Baltimore Ravens – Keep On Winning Somehow
Unlike last year, there’s nothing about the Baltimore Ravens that seems to be pointing towards a season that will end in glory. However, despite not looking impressive or putting up big numbers, the defending Super Bowl champions keep advancing towards a playoff spot, getting over their latest hurdle, the Detroit Lions, with a game winning field goal by Justin Tucker.

Tom Brady Isn’t Winning a Super Bowl This Year as Well
Walking off after answering only two questions in the postgame conference, Tom Brady didn’t really try to hide his anger and frustration. The New England Patriots failed to knock off the Miami Dolphins, losing to their division rivals 24-20 which hurts their bid for home field advantage in the playoffs and keeps the race for the AFC East title still open.

Chicago Bears – The Jay Cutler Experience Isn’t for the Faint of Heart
Choosing Jay Cutler over Josh McCown might have been a bad decision by Marc Trestman early on for the Chicago Bears, but by the end of their 38-31 win over the Cleveland Browns it turned out to be the correct one. No one argues with bottom lines, which is the Bears currently holding on to the lead in the NFC North, hoping for the Detroit Lions to slip up in their next game and later as well.
-
Minnesota Vikings – Who Needs Adrian Peterson?
The Minnesota Vikings have nothing to play for, but they’re still a major player in the molding of the playoff picture. Without Adrian Peterson, they managed to beat the Philadelphia Eagles with a fine performance from Matt Cassel and their third-string running back, Matt Asiata, which ruined the Eagles’ chances of almost finishing off their problems in the NFC East.

Dallas Cowboys – Tony Romo Reveals His True Self Once Again
At some point, it’s hard to argue with the facts. Tony Romo gets a lot of flack for being terrible in the biggest moments, but after his awful mistakes, along with his head coach and offensive coordinator calling terrible plays, the Dallas Cowboys don’t look like a team that will end up in the playoffs, blowing a 23 point lead against the Green Bay Packers and finding themselves in a situation they should never have reached.

College Football Rumors – Mack Brown Leaves Texas
The only reason, as it turns out, that Mack Brown didn’t announce him leaving the Texas football program was because the rumors of him stepping down leaked, so he decided to change the date by a day, and get to do it on his own terms. He’ll remain with the team until after the Alamo Bowl, but then step off his perch, and leave the head coaching job of the Longhorns to someone else.

College Football Rumors – Nick Saban Staying With Alabama, Mack Brown Trying to Stay in Texas
A potentially massive change in the head coaching scenery of College Football isn’t going to happen at the moment. Nick Saban is staying with Alabama, probably signing another massive extension to remain as the head coach of the Crimson Tide until the end of his career, while Mack Brown isn’t planning on stepping down or leaving Texas, instead announcing he’ll be fighting to keep his job.

NFL Rumors – Chicago Bears Starting Jay Cutler, Benching Josh McCown
The Chicago Bears haven’t seen a win with Jay Cutler at the quarterback position in over two months, but that isn’t stopping them from re-instating him as their starter, which means Josh McCown, doing a very good job in his place, is going back to the bench.
