NFL Rumors – Arizona Cardinals Trading Larry Fitzgerald
Looking at another season without making the playoffs, it seems the Arizona Cardinals are seriously considering trading Larry Fitzgerald, possibly even this season before the trade deadline expires, although it’s most likely going to be during the offseason for the 2014 season, with teams like the Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins waiting for developments.

New England Patriots – Tom Brady Wins Being Terrible
This really isn’t a good season for Tom Brady, but it really isn’t stopping the New England Patriots from picking up wins and sustaining their dominance in the terrible AFC East, coming back from behind once more in order to make it seem that there’s a lot more to this team than what we’re actually seeing from them on the field.

Green Bay Pakcers – Jordy Nelson is Enough for Aaron Rodgers
The Green Bay Packers haven’t been very lucky this season when ti comes to keeping their players and especially receivers healthy. However, with Aaron Rodgers running the show, having only Jordy Nelson as a recognizable receiving target is more than enough to put on impressive offensive performances.

Kansas City Chiefs – Alex Smith Continues the Unimpressive Undefeated March
Despite being 8-0, very few people consider the Kansas City Chiefs to actually be the best team in the NFL. However, some numbers are hard to argue with, and getting a mistake-free performance from Alex Smith is always a reason to pop a champagne bottle or two, especially while doing it without any special help from the defense that usually picks up most of the compliments.

Denver Broncos – Peyton Manning is Better When He’s Angry
Even after turning the ball over four times by himself, Peyton Manning had enough confidence and courage to simply play the same way he always does, and take the Denver Broncos out of a two-touchdown hole, getting quite a lot of help from some excellent pass defense, which hasn’t been a strong suit of this team in the 2013 season.

Detroit Lions – Calvin Johnson Can’t Get Better Than This
It’s hard to tell what was the most impressive feat for the Detroit Lions as they picked up their fifth win of the season – Matthew Stafford fooling everyone and then lunging forward to score the game-winning touchdown, or Calvin Johnson catching 14 passes for 329 yards, nearly setting a new NFL record for receiving yards.

2013 BCS Standings – Week 9
While the clear dominance of Alabama in every possible college football ranking system, the big change in the second edition of the BCS Standings in the 2013 season is Oregon leapfrogging Florida State to the number two spot thanks to a win the computers loved over UCLA, while three new teams – Michigan, Notre Dame and Wisconsin make it into the top 25.

Ohio State Buckeyes – Braxton Miller Waiting For Someone to Slip
It’s not anyone’s fault that the Big Ten is perceived (and probably is) as a lot weaker than the other AQ conferences, which harms Ohio State and their national title hopes despite not losing a game in almost two years. All that’s left is to keep on enjoying the developing talent of Braxton Miller; the powerhouse that Urban Meyer is building in Columbus; and for one of the three teams above them in the polls and BCS standings to slip up at some point.

Oklahoma Sooners – Blake Bell Keeps Big 12 Hopes Alive
The original plan didn’t involve Blake Bell being the starting quarterback for Oklahoma this season, but it has mostly turned out for the best. Even though the Sooners still need one more huge win over a top 10 team to take control of their own destiny in the conference while hoping another Domino falls their way, they seem to be in the right direction.

Oregon Ducks – Not Only About Marcus Mariota & Offense
There haven’t been many moments in recent years in which the Oregon Ducks got stuck on offense. But just in those cases, when Marcus Mariota is less than brilliant and is only very good, there’s an underrated defense that was able to hold the toughest rivals they faced this season scoreless during the second half.
