The New Star Quarterbacks Who Will Rule the NFL’s Future
We’re going to see Tom Brady and Peyton Manning once again in yet another postseason, but one of the more impressive facts is that six of the twelve quarterbacks in the 2012 NFL playoffs – Andy Dalton, Christian Ponder, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson, are in their first or second year in the league.

No Steelers or Eagles in Playoffs For First Time Since 1999
A disastrous year for the Pennsylvania NFL teams, as both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Phildaelphia Eagles missed the playoffs for the first time since 1999. Mike Tomlin is keeping his job, but the Eagles’ failure to make the postseason in the last couple of years has cost him his job.

Orange Bowl – Northern Illinois vs Florida State Predictions
They call them BCS busters, but Northern Illinois still doesn’t feel to welcomed by the national media to the Orange Bowl after a remarkable season in the MAC. Florida State keep thinking about what could have been if it wasn’t for that loss, but eventually had to settle for the ACC title, which is more than they’ve achieved in previous seasons.

Rose Bowl – Wisconsin vs Stanford Predictions
For the third consecutive season, Wisconsin make it into the Rose Bowl. This time, with a temporary head coach on the sidelines who has won it three times in the past, maybe it’ll workout. Stanford go into the game as the Pac-12 champions, a huge November backing them up and one of the best defenses in the nation.

Capital One Bowl – Georgia vs Nebraska Predictions
The game of the conference championship losers, in other words. Georgia had a great season, but two losses in the SEC is too much to overcome if you want a BCS Bowl to end your season. Nebraska? Despite a 10-win season, they were humiliated in the Big Ten championship game, and it’ll be interesting to see how much from that carries over.

Outback Bowl – South Carolina vs Michigan Predictions
The last time Michigan met an SEC opponent, it ended up crushing every hope and dream they had going into the 2012 season. South Carolina looked they finally made the jump into the nation’s elite this season, but two consecutive losses in the middle of the season ended their hopes and dreams about a BCS bowl.

Clemson Tigers – Tajh Boyd Makes DeAndre Hopkins Look Great
A year after getting humiliated to end their season, Clemson got some of their swagger back, against a stronger team from the toughest conference in the nation. The Chick-Fil-A Bowl usually produces good football games, and this one, with Tajh Boyd and DeAndre Hopkins pulling off some late game heroics to set up the winning field goal, was no different.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Defense Ends USC Disaster
And to think that Georgia Tech needed an NCAA waiver to play in the Sun Bowl, after finishing the regular season with a 6-7 record. The option, with Tevin Washington and Vad Lee worked very well and was supported by a defense that intercepted the USC quarterback, as the team that began the season as number one hit another low point in a year filled with them.
-
Chick-Fil-A Bowl – LSU vs Clemson Predictions
Two teams that expected to get to end the season a little bit higher with a bit more prestige in their bowl game, but the Chick-Fil-A Bowl is pretty much as good as it gets outside the BCS world. Clemson and their high powered offense with their ACC disappointments, LSU with their great defense and the too tough to play in SEC.

Washington Redskins – Alfred Morris Carries, Robert Griffin III Follows
It was always going to be the start of a new era once Robert Griffin began playing for the Washington Redskins, but I don’t think anyone thought it was going to be this good, so soon. Along with another rookie, Alfred Morris, the RG3 sensation has turned the Redskins fortunes around beyond recognition.
