The Community Shield isn’t much more than an upgraded preseason friendly, but it certainly tastes like the beginning of the season, which should be very encouraging for Arsenal, picking up a trophy through an impressive 3-0 win over Manchester City. Santi Cazorla, the fantastic Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud scored the goals.

Match Highlights – Liverpool vs Dortmund
A fantastic performance is worth mentioning, even if it’s only the preseason, as Liverpool beat a lacking Dortmund side 4-0 in Anfield. Philippe Coutinho was close to perfection with a goal and assist, helped out by Dejan Lovren scoring his first goal for the club, Daniel Sturridge with the opener and another from Jordan Henderson.

It was far from the strongest lineup Bayern Munich could have used, so it wasn’t that surprising to see the German champions lose to the MLS All-Stars after taking an early lead through Robert Lewandowski, only to see it waste away as Bradley Wright-Phillips and Landon Donovan took advantage of the weak defending.

One moment of concentration loss from Claudio Bravo allowed Blerim Dzemaili to score a late goal from far away to give Napoli a 1-0 win over Barcelona in their preseason friendly clash, although Barca, still playing without some of their best players, were the better side throughout most of the match.
