At least there’s one competition this season which has been kind to Liverpool, blowing by another lower league team, beating Bornemouth 3-1 with a double from Raheem Sterling and the first goal for Lazar Markovic since joining the club, advancing to the semifinal of the competition.

Fresh off being ranked number two once again, Duke had an easy time beating Elon 75-62 in a game that was about taking it easy and giving Freshman Jahlil Okaford an opportunity to break some records and set some outstanding milestones.

This awful season of disappointments and dreadful results in the big matches continues for Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, although it could have been very different if Raheem Sterling was able to score at least one of his many wonderful chances, left alone to beat David de Gea.

A vintage Manchester United display: Playing terrible football and still beating Liverpool 3-0 thanks to David de Gea saves, Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli being unable to score from up close, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie scoring easy goals and Juan Mata doing the same but from an offside position.

In another demoralizing moment for Michigan athletics and the basketball program specifically, the Wolverines lost 80-53 in a visit to Arizona they regretted from the moment they stepped on the floor.

Kansas Over Utah – The Slow Climb Back Up to the Top
Nothing is coming easy this season for Kansas, even a home game against Utah in which they lead by 21 points. Eventually, despite losing that lead, the Jayhawks came through with great defense and being clutch from the free throw line, walking away with the 63-60, their 7th consecutive victory since that loss.

Kentucky Over North Carolina – The Better the Rival, the Better They Are
The 2014-2015 version of the Kentucky Wildcats continues to look scary and almost perfect, beating North Carolina 84-70 behind a very strong game from Willie Cauley-Stein, once again proving their depth and versatility, raising their game according to the quality of their rival.

Match Highlights – Arsenal vs Newcastle
A 4-1 win over Newcastle didn’t move Arsenal up the Premier League table, but it did place them a lot closer to the top 4, as both Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla finished with a brace in what was probably the club’s best league performance this season.
