Most Disappointing Teams of the 2013 NFL Season
While the focus in what remains of this NFL season goes to the playoff teams, a lot should be said for the failures this season. From the colossal ones like the Houston Texans and Washington Redskins, to teams that played well for most of the way but failed in the final stretch, like the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears.

NFL Head Coaches Fired at the End of the Season
As always, right after the 2013 NFL regular season ended, a long list of head coaches found themselves out of a job. Gary Kubiak was fired before the season was over, but he also found himself in good company along with Jim Schwartz, Greg Schiano, Mike Shanahan, Leslie Frazier and Rob Chudzinski.

Dallas Cowboys – Tony Romo Couldn’t Afford Another Failure
The Dallas Cowboys find themselves in a familiar situation – a game against an NFC East rival on the final week of the season for the right to play in the playoffs. A drastic change from last week, this time Tony Romo came up with the right play to keep the season alive, saving his team from the brink of elimination, probably saving the job of some people, especially his head coach Jason Garrett.

NFL Rumors – Washington Redskins Benching Robert Griffin III, Starting Kirk Cousins
In a not too surprising move, the Washington Redskins (or to be more accurate, their coach), have decided that Robert Griffin III isn’t going to play anymore this season, and instead Kirk Cousins will start in the remaining three games, while Rex Grossman will act as his backup, and maybe even get a chance to start before this season is over.
-
Dan Snyder vs Mike Shanahan – Robert Griffin III & Washington Redskins The Real Losers
There are two versions to this story, but it doesn’t change the bottom line – the Washington Redskins doing terribly under Mike Shanahan, only he’s been trying to make it look like Dan Snyder and Robert Griffin III are really the reason everything has gone wrong with this team this season.

49ers vs Redskins – Colin Kaepernick is Good When It’s Easy
There is no crisis crippling the San Francisco 49ers. It’s only the simple fact that they’re not as good of a football team when compared with last year. When they’re playing better opponents, like they have four times this season, they lose. When they face a team like the Washington Redskins, they win quite comfortably, and Colin Kaepernick has a chance to look like a superstar quarterback.

Redskins vs Vikings – Christian Ponder Injured Just When Things Got Good
The Minnesota Vikings can’t catch a break. Just as they get back on the horse again, with Adrian Peterson scoring a couple of touchdowns and Christian Ponder puts in a second consecutive good performance, they go ahead and lose their quarterback to an injury that mean it’s over for him this season.

NFL – Redskins vs Vikings Predictions
While the Washington Redskins are looking for consistency, especially from Robert Griffin III, the Minnesota Vikings are hoping that they finally get a less than bad night from their quarterback, Christian Ponder, and that their awful losing streak ends at some point.
-
NFL Rumors – Washington Redskins Trading Fred Davis
The Washington Redskins have hardly been using Fred Davis in their offense this season (4 games, 3 receptions, 25 yards), so it’s only natural they’re looking to trade the talented tight end, with teams like the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs showing quite a lot of interest in the player.

NFL Rumors – Arizona Cardinals Trading Larry Fitzgerald
Looking at another season without making the playoffs, it seems the Arizona Cardinals are seriously considering trading Larry Fitzgerald, possibly even this season before the trade deadline expires, although it’s most likely going to be during the offseason for the 2014 season, with teams like the Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins waiting for developments.
