Syracuse Orange – Michael Carter-Williams Ends a Number One’s Dream
Thanks to Syracuse and especially Michael Carter-Williams, we’re down to only two number one seeds left in the 2013 NCAA tournament, as the famous Orange zone defense was a bit too much for an Indiana team that lost steam as the season reached its critical point, figuring out how to start scoring a bit too late to be competitive in their Sweet Sixteen matchup.

Ohio State Buckeyes – Deshaun Thomas Carries, LaQuinton Ross Finishes
Another tournament game, another big, late shot from a Ohio State players takes them to the next stage, this time the Elite Eight. While Aaron Craft found life harder than usual against Arizona, Deshaun Thomas did his usual thing and simply played well and consistent throughout the game, setting the stage for LaQuinton Ross to be the hero with the big clutch shot.

Marquette Golden Eagles – Vander Blue Focuses on Start Instead of Finish
In the previous two wins for Marquette in the NCAA tournament, Vander Blue was there for them in the close finishes. This time, dominating right from the get go, their star player gave his best efforts early on, to create enough separation from Miami, while teammate Jamil Wilson took over in the second half to make sure they make it into the Elite Eight.

Sweet Sixteen – Syracuse vs Indiana Predictions
No team plays the zone-defense as well as Syracuse does, on a good day, and there isn’t anyone as good, in the entire nation, on offense and as a team in general, like Indiana, when they’re clicking on all cylinders.

Sweet Sixteen – Arizona vs Ohio State Predictions
For Arizona, who didn’t get to collect any silverware in the Pac-12 this season, it’s been an easy road in the NCAA tournament so far. Ohio State, the Big Ten tournament champions, needed a bit of luck to get by their third round opponents, making it to their fourth consecutive Sweet Sixteen.

Sweet Sixteen – Marquette vs Miami Predictions
In what should be the most physical game of the Sweet Sixteen round in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, Marquette will try and get past the stage for the first time since the days of Dwyane Wade over a decade ago, while Miami are hoping that the absence of their starting center won’t be too much of a crippling issue.

NCAA Tournament – Two Cinderellas in the Sweet Sixteen
We do have plenty of favorites, including Indiana and Kansas, not having too many problems in advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, but some favorites have fallen along the way, as Florida Gulf Coast continue their incredible run by knocking off San Diego State, while La Salle left out the SEC champions, Ole Miss, out of the competition as well, making everyone remember they used to be one of the best teams in the nation 60 years ago.

NCAA Tournament – The First Number One Seed to Say Goodbye
If there was one number seed everyone was predicting to make an early exit, it had to be Gonzaga. So according to the script, the Bulldogs fell against ninth seed Wichita State, leaving Ohio State as the favorite in the West Regional. Other than that, upsets weren’t really a popular thing on day 3 of the tournament, as Louisville had no problem excreting their top seed status, while both Michigan and Michigan State enjoyed easy games in their Round of 32 games.
