Probably the best night of football so far in Euro 2012, as the group of death finally gave us the level of football and competition many expected from it. Robin Van Persie Wins PFA Player of the Year; Meaningless Award?
Robin Van Persie won the PFA’s Players’ Player of the year for the 2011-2012 season in the Premier League, while Kyle Walker of Tottenham picked up the award for young player of the year, a rarity for a defender. Still, like every year, the date and submission of the votes makes it feel like the second half of the season doesn’t count.

Petr Cech The Only Player Worth Mentioning (Arsenal vs Chelsea)
Petr Cech wasn’t that busy, but he kept his good form in another match in which Chelsea didn’t look to interested in winning, not having the fortune of having Drogba to poach a goal. Robin van Persie is Just the “Bad” Guy Arsenal Need
Robin van Persie scored his 26th league goal of the season for Arsenal, countering Hatem Ben Arfa’s opener for Newcastle in what became a dramatic 2-1 win for the Gunners, putting them a point behind Tottenham in the battle for third.
