Match Highlights – West Ham vs Liverpool
A match that referee Anthony Taylor was in the middle of the happenings on all three goals as Liverpool beat West Ham 2-1 to go back to the top of the Premier League, as Steven Gerrard scored twice from the penalty spot to bring his team a step closer towards a historic championship.

Liverpool FC – The Season in Postcards
Whatever the outcome, this has been an amazing season for Liverpool, finding themselves in the thick of the Premier League title race and at the moment, leading the table. It might not end with a title, but this remarkable run has gotten an illustrated postcard treatment that makes looking back at their big wins of the season even better.

Liverpool FC – Steven Gerrard Can’t be Thinking Championship
They’ve been able to fly under the radar up until now, but Liverpool can’t avoid the favorite label anymore. Steven Gerrard can almost taste the championship, and Brendan Rodgers is taking his team, no matter how this season ends, further than they were actually supposed to be. But the difference between a happy ending and a historic one will be keeping things simple, and not over-thinking about the big picture.

Match Highlights – Liverpool vs Tottenham
In one of the best Premier League title races we’ve had in years, Liverpool take the top spot in the Premier League table for now with a 4-0 win over a very bad Tottenham side, following the Younnes Kaboul own goal with strikes from Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and Jordan Henderson.
-
Liverpool FC – Luis Suarez Doesn’t Have to Score Every Time
For whatever reason, a comfortable win over a relegated bound team turned into a tense affair late for Liverpool at home in Anfield. Luis Suarez, trying too hard to find the goal instead of simply letting the match come to him might have been the biggest proponent of that potential disastrous ending.

Match Highlights – Liverpool vs Sunderland
Not the best of performances from Liverpool, but they keep their winning streak alive and more importantly remain strong in the title race following a tense 2-1 win over Sunderland, getting two impressive long range goals from Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge.
-
Match Highlights – Cardiff vs Liverpool
This wasn’t clinical from Liverpool as they ran into plenty of trouble against relegation bound Cardiff in Wales, but a 6-3 win with another sublime performance from Luis Suarez and Martin Skrtel keeps them in a reasonable distance from the league leaders and their Premier League title hopes alive.
-
Liverpool FC – Steven Gerrard, More Than a Penalty King
Almost every goal Steven Gerrard has scored this season came from the penalty spot, but there’s more to him, and to the Liverpool team Brendan Rodgers needed about a season and a bit to mold, than just making the most of set pieces, as the striking duo of Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge create havoc even when they don’t score, Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen do the work of three or four players in the middle of the pitch while the Raheem Sterling surprise might have hurt his individual performance, but worked out perfectly in the grand scheme of things.
-
Match Highlights – Manchester United vs Liverpool
One of the more interesting things about the 3-0 win for Liverpool at the Old Trafford over Manchester United was that they didn’t play all that well and were probably deserving of at least one more penalty kick, with Steven Gerrard converting two of them (and missing one), getting help from Luis Suarez to make it an official humiliating result.

Liverpool FC – Luis Suarez & The Numbers That Don’t Lie
Even though Luis Suarez didn’t score a single goal through February, there was no crisis – simply a refocus of his talents to providing for others, while suffering from a bit of bad luck, something all strikers need on their side. Liverpool didn’t lose through that stretch, and it doesn’t seem like him scoring again as he continues to be the number one creator for others as well doesn’t seem to bother them.
