Kevin Durant Beats LeBron James – MVP & Changing of the Guard
Is it safe to say that Kevin Durant is the best player in the NBA, better than LeBron James? Some wait for an NBA championship ring to be put on Durant’s finger, but when looking specifically at what each player does and not what he wins with his team, James, for the first time over the last five seasons, is inferior to someone.

NBA Playoffs – Players With the Most to Prove
The playoffs are great for the clashes between the best teams in the NBA, but also because it’s an opportunity to create legends and form legacies. Individual story lines and plot threads in front of our eyes, like Kevin Durant aiming to finally step out of the imaginary shadows he’s under, while LeBron James tries and make his legacy of championships equal to that of his individual achievements and statistics.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Waiting Behind James Harden & Patrick Beverley
One thing that usually happens in the playoffs is team’s rotation getting shorter, and key players getting even more minutes than in the regular season. Jeremy Lin is a backup guard for the Houston Rockets, and although he can be very useful, he won’t be features as much compared to James Harden and Patrick Beverley, partially because Kevin McHale simply doesn’t believe in him.

NBA Playoffs – First Round Series
The 2013-14 NBA regular season is over, and the eight first round series are set. The NBA champions Miami Heat, a second seed in the East, will be playing against the Charlotte Bobcats, while the top team in the conference, the Indiana Pacers, get the Atlanta Hawks as their first round hurdle.

NBA Playoffs – Los Angeles Clippers Still Have Something to Play For
Most of the teams in the NBA don’t have too much to play for. The Los Angeles Clippers aren’t like everyone else and their 117-105 win over the Denver Nuggets, getting another fine performance from Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, means that they still have a shot at finishing second in the Western conference, overtaking the Oklahoma City Thunder.

New York Knicks – Rivalry is all That’s Left
It’s been a weird and mostly disappointing season for the New York Knicks, but at least they won their regular season series against the Brooklyn Nets, not needing Carmelo Anthony to beat a team that actually has something to play for 109-98.

Houston Rockets – Dwight Howard Matters More Than Jeremy Lin & James Harden This Time
Even though we love to focus on the “power struggles” between James Harden hero ball and Jeremy Lin-style basketball, the 104-98 win for the Houston Rockets over the San Antonio Spurs was mostly about Dwight Howard and the front court dominating to complete a four-game sweep in the regular season over the team with the best record in the N

Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant Should be Worried
One more game left before the end of the season, and the Oklahoma City Thunder still haven’t sewn up the second spot in the Eastern conference. A 101-89 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans did come while Russell Westbrook wasn’t playing, but it went to show once more that all the superlatives thrown at Kevin Durant and his scoring ability might be masking other, more serious problems this team has.
