Despite the pleas of the fans, Derrick Rose remained on the bench while his teammates led Team USA to a 105-62 win over the Dominican Republic, sitting out due to soreness in his knees. It didn’t bother Kyrie Irving and James Harden to handle the challenge with ease, while Klay Thompson, DeMar DeRozan, Andre Drummond and Rudy Gay made a strong case for their inclusion in the final roster that goes to the basketball World Cup.

By the time the Basketball World Championships begin, Team USA will be down to a roster of 12 players. Well, the same things were said last year and we all know how that turned out, so maybe some caution in the word selection should be used by everyone, from the players to the coaching staff.

Team USA – John Wall, Bradley Beal & Paul Millsap Get Cut
It’s not all about horrific injuries at the Team USA camp for the Basketball World Cup camp. Three players – John Wall and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, Paul Millsap of the Atlanta Hawks, have been cut from the roster as Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski trimmed down the roster to 16 players, which will eventually be reduced to the final 12 who will be going to compete in Spain.
