    Every year Shane Battier of the Miami Heat organizes a charity event called Battioke, which is pretty much a karaoke night in which his Miami Heat teammates take part to help raise money for the Take Charge Foundation. As always, the highlight was what LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were doing. They did more than one song, but the best of it was them pulling off a decent version of Blurred Lines, the huge hit by Robin Thicke from last year.

    Maybe counting out Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh isn’t the wisest thing to do, but it seems that the concept of the big three is no longer part of the Miami Heat, turning into a teams with an exceptional superstar, one of the greatest of all times, and a very talented roster around him, with players who can still be All-Stars, but probably can’t play to that ability on a game-to-game basis.

    Predicting the NBA champion next season is probably picking between three, maybe four teams – The Miami Heat with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade; The Oklahoma City Thunder, with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook; The Los Angeles Lakers with Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, and maybe even the San Antonio Spurs deserve a mention. But the most exciting team? Most worthwhile to watch teams? The Denver Nuggets, The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers are also in the mix.

    The Thunder beating the Miami Heat sent the Heat into another bad loss against the Indiana Pacers, and the questions regarding their ability to win the NBA title is put into question once again. Having LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh put the Heat immediatly in contender territory for the second straight year. Having Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden? Took some time, but they’re finally there.

  • Nothing New About Dwyane Wade Taking Over in the Fourth

    Dwyane Wade led the Heat in scoring with 31 points, but most importantly in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 in the final period. Chris Bosh had his best game since returing from mourning, while LeBron James had an impressive stat line in all but scoring as Miami beat the visiting Orlando Magic 91-81.

    Dwyane Wade wasn’t exactly consistent during the first 5 weeks of the season, but in February, averaging nearly 25 points per game and shooting over 50% from the field, the Miami Heat finally have all of their big three, with LeBron James and Chris Bosh enjoying great seasons, and look like the best team in the NBA.

    LeBron James and the Miami Heat couldn’t live with getting swept by the 12-16 Milwaukee Bucks in the three game seasons, and they handled a team that has given them too many problems already this season very well in their third and final meeting in the regular season, beating the Bucks 114-96.

  • Chris Bosh Doesn’t Always Need Other Big Two Around

    Chris Bosh is the lesser of the big three. That’s just life. But if a six time All-Star is your third best player, then I guess the Miami Heat can handle a night without both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. They certainly looked capable of handling the load, beating the Atlanta Hawks in a triple overtime game 116-109.
