Schools With the Most Heisman Trophy Winners
The 2014 Heisman Trophy winner is Marcus Mariota, the first one Oregon have ever produced (although he’s actually from Hawai’i). There are other programs that have seen one of their players lift the trophy quite a lot of times, especially USC, Notre Dame and Ohio State, proud to present the only two time winner, Archie Griffin.

USC Over Notre Dame – Something Nice to Remember
A rivalry that’s lost some of its prestige in recent years is the one between USC and Notre Dame. The Trojans were the next team to run all over the Fighting Irish, winning 49-14 with a big game for Cody Kessler, setting down some groundwork for hopefully a big season next year.

UCLA Bruins: Taking USC Out of the Pac-12 Picture
A rivalry that was so one sided for so long has been turned completely around, as UCLA beat USC (38-20) for a third consecutive season, making their path towards winning the Pac-12 South and going on to play for the conference title a little bit easier, getting rid of the Trojans along the way.

Utah Over USC: A New Force in the Pac-12
Despite the big name, USC under Steve Sarkisian still have a way to go before becoming a force again in the Pac-12. Meanwhile, Utah keep proving that this season they’re making noise in the conference for the first time since joining, beating a ranked team for the second time before they head into a very difficult finish.

Pac-12: Oregon & USC Ruin Things for UCLA & Arizona
The Oregon Ducks got a much needed pick me up win with a 42-30 victory against the sliding UCLA behind a big performance from Marcus Mariota, while USC are back in business when it comes to the Pac-12 South, beating the no-longer undefeated Arizona Wildcats 28-26 thanks to a huge day from running back Javorius Allen.

Boston College Over USC – There’s a First Time for Everything
Being ranked and dubbed huge favorites for a road game at Chestnut Hill didn’t mean a thing in the end as Boston College, led by some great defense and the running of quarterback Tyler Murphy, pulled off a huge upset by beating number 9 ranked USC 37-31, marking it as the first time the Eagles have ever beaten the Trojans anywhere.

College Football – Upsets Start Messing Up the Rankings
None of the popular picks for national title and the playoffs have lost, but major upsets are happening nonetheless, as USC lost for the first time this season to Boston College of all teams, Georgia were derailed by South Carolina and East Carolina carried on with their impressive season by surprising Virginia Tech.

USC Over Stanford: The Pac-12 Getting a Familiar Powerhouse Back
Some games mean more than just a win, and USC beating Stanford 13-10 to show the Trojans should be taken seriously while the Cardinal might be heading into something of a down year compared to their very successful recent past, is a deceleration to the whole Pac-12 and maybe College Football in general that someone’s back.

College Football – Big Ten Takes Huge Rankings & Playoffs Hit
It’s not wise to make assumptions about what happens at the end of the season based on week 2 results, but it’s safe to say the Big Ten won’t be having a team in the College Football playoffs after a terrible run of results in one day, with Michigan State (losing to Oregon), Ohio State (defeated by Virginia Tech) and Michigan (crushed by Notre Dame) getting beaten quite harshly to show how far their conference seems to be right now from the rest.

College Football – USC vs Stanford Predictions
The first big game of the Pac-12 this season comes in the form of #14 ranked USC coming to play against #13 Stanford at Palo Alto, with a lot of focus on the previous animosity between the two head coaches and the very interesting match-up we’re bound to see between the Trojans pass rush and the Cardinal rebuilding offensive line.
