Oklahoma State Over Texas Tech – Another Typical Big 12 Shootout
When Texas Tech come to visit Oklahoma State, it’s quite certain two things will happen: A lot of points will be put on the board, and the Cowboys will come away with the win (45-35) as the two teams opened their Big 12 conference schedule with a wild throwing night for both Daxx Garman and Davis Webb, who didn’t finish the game and left in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury.

College Football – Texas Tech vs Oklahoma State Predictions
The Big 12 opens its conference play with two 2-1 teams but with a different kind of momentum going into the game: The very confident Oklahoma State, ranked at number 24 in the nation after a very solid start, and Texas Tech, whose loss to an SEC team shook the confidence of those hoping for something of a breakout season.

2014 College Football Season – Week 4 Rankings
No change among the first seven teams in the top 25 after the games of week 4, but both Mississippi State (after beating LSU) and East Carolina (for winning against North Carolina) make their way into the rankings for the first time this season, while Missouri (for losing against Indiana) and Clemson (for losing to Florida State’s backup quarterback) dropped from the rankings.

Michigan Wolverines – Brady Hoke Isn’t Going to Last Much Longer
A rain delay only postponed the inevitable. Michigan were about to lose 26-10 to Utah at home, but less than 1000 were left inside the biggest stadium in the nation to watch the clock run out on the fourth quarter, and maybe on Brady Hoke as well, as his tenure at Ann Arbor takes another painful step towards its end.

Oregon Over Washington State – A Lot Harder Than Expected
A lot of offense? That was to be expected. But Washington State hanging on for the entire game with Oregon? A bit more surprising, although in the end, the ability of Marcus Mariota to make plays with both his arms and his legs seemed to make the difference and keep the Ducks undefeated following their 38-31 win in Pullman.

Mississippi State Over LSU – Shaking up the SEC
The long wait is over, and Mississippi State, getting a huge game from quarterback Dak Prescott, finally have a win over a ranked team and especially LSU, beating the Tigers 34-29 on the road, something that hasn’t happened in over 20 years, handing the number 8 team in the nation their first loss of the season while staying undefeated themselves.
-
Alabama Over Florida – Two Programs in Very Different Places
As long as it was a game of turnovers and lack of precision, Florida managed to hang with a much better Alabama team. However, at some point coaching and talent start to take their place, leading to a dominant 42-21 win for the Crimson Tide with an excellent performance from quarterback Blake Sims, mostly thanks to having someone like Amari Cooper to throw to.
-
Florida State Over Clesmon – Lucky to Still be Number One
Playing without Jameis Winston proved to be a very difficult task for Florida State, but the defending national champions and still the number one team in the country managed to prevail with a 23-17 overtime win over Clemson, as the Tigers made every possible mistake in the book in order to botch an incredible opportunity, from missed field goals to not being able to get the job done in the red zone.

College Football – Rankings & Playoff Picture Keeps Changing
The interesting thing so far about this College Football season has been the ability of the top five or six teams so far – Florida State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Alabama, Oregon and Texas A&M, to distance themselves through the rankings from the pretenders to the playoff spots, as LSU become the latest team to suffer a surprising loss which sets them back quite harshly.

College Football – Clemson vs Florida State Predictions
Over the last five seasons, the winner of the Clemson and Florida State game has also gone on to play for the ACC title out of the Atlantic division, and over the last three years also going to a BCS bowl game. Last year the Seminoles gave the Tigers one of the most crushing blows in the history of their football program, but things might be different this season and not just because Jameis Winston is suspended from the game.
