  • Denver Nuggets – Danilo Gallinari Changing the Scenario of the NBA Playoffs

As always, points in the paint were the key to another Denver Nuggets victory, while Danilo Gallinari made the most of his few shots to lead his team, especially in the fourth quarter. With the win, it doesn’t only improve the Nuggets’ chances of getting the third seed in the West, meaning a much easier team to face in the first round of the playoffs, but shaping the battle for the final ticket.

  • Boston Celtics – Jeff Green Clinches Playoff Spot for Hobbled Group of Guys

It took a bit longer than usual, but this is no ordinary season for the Boston Celtics, who look like they’re playing on their last fumes of gas entering the final couple of weeks of the NBA season. Jeff Green continues his fantastic form with some exceptional scoring while Paul Pierce glues all the imperfect, not to mention flawed pieces together, in what looks like a successful escape of being the 8th seed in the East.

  • New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony Can’t Get Any Hotter Than This

There will be no MVP awards for Carmelo Anthony, just some accolades like “best pure scorer in the NBA”, which actually means you don’t do a lot too well except for putting the ball in the basket, but at least he’s justifying the amount of shots he is been taking this season with these last couple of extraordinary games, making it 10 wins in a row for the New York Knicks.

  • Los Angeles Clippers – Won’t Succeed Because of a Bad Defense

Los Angeles Clippers – Won’t Succeed Because of a Bad Defense

With players like Chris Paul and Blake Griffin in the lineup, it was quite clear the Los Angeles Clippers weren’t going to fail this season because of their offense. On the other hand, the x-factor which was going to determine how far they’ll make it into the postseason was their ability to remain consistent on defense, something that hasn’t really happened over the last couple of months.

  • NBA Playoffs – Western Conference Race

NBA Playoffs – Western Conference Race

In the stronger conference, the race for the NBA playoffs is happening on all fronts, with the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder fighting for the number one spot; the Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets for the 3-4-5 finish; the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets on avoiding one of the two clear favorites in the West, while the Los Angeles Lakers try to catch up with the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final spot.

  • Los Angeles Lakers – Kobe Bryant Leaving Everything He Has on the Court

Los Angeles Lakers – Kobe Bryant Leaving Everything He Has on the Court

For the Los Angeles Lakers to make the NBA playoffs, it’s going to take more than close calls and help from the refs. It’s going to take, apparently, Kobe Bryant not resting for more than a minute or two each game, while sticking to the game-plan of actually giving up shots to provide for others, while hoping that Dwight Howard continues to make free throws as his defense manages to cover the holes the rest of his teammates leave him to handle.

  • New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony Wasted His Best Game Ever

New York Knicks – Carmelo Anthony Wasted His Best Game Ever

For the third time in his career, Carmelo Anthony scored 50 points. While it is the first time he’s done it with the New York Knicks, leading them to a win over the NBA champions and the Eastern conference leaders, it came on a night when the competition he faced wasn’t exactly at its peak form, not playing with their top two players.

  • Chicago Bulls – Injuries, Technical Fouls & Eventual Losing

Chicago Bulls – Injuries, Technical Fouls & Eventual Losing

Those thinking Derrick Rose might make his return fell a victim to an April Fool’s joke. He isn’t injured, but he isn’t returning this season it seems, while the injury list goes longer and longer for the Chicago Bulls, as Taj Gibson joined Joakim Noah, Marco Belinelli and Rip Hamliton while Kirk Hinrich, the only trustworthy guard in the lineup, found himself getting ejected from the game.

  • Los Angeles Lakers – The 2013 NBA Playoffs Conspiracy

Los Angeles Lakers – The 2013 NBA Playoffs Conspiracy

No one really believes and trusts the NBA officials, or the league itself, with David Stern sitting on top of the mountain. When you see the kind of calls the Los Angeles Lakers have been getting or getting away with in recent games as they attempt to make the final spot into the NBA playoffs, you can’t help to think that there’s some foul play involved, or at least wouldn’t be surprised to hear about something along those lines going on.

  • Utah Jazz – Al Jefferson Gets His Chance to Star

Utah Jazz – Al Jefferson Gets His Chance to Star

After a couple of games with the backcourt and especially Mo Williams setting the tone for the Utah Jazz, Al Jefferson went to work to bring back the dominance to what has been the team’s stronger unit over the last couple of years, the frontcourt, enjoying one of his more productive stretches of the season, coming at the perfect time.
