Champions League – Week 2 Predictions (Groups E – H)
The Group Stage of the 2014-2015 Champions League continues with matches in Groups E, F, G and H. At the center of attention will be the Anglo-Italian clash of Manchester City hosting Roma and also the mega meeting between PSG and Barcelona, but plenty of focus will be given to Chelsea, facing a tough road test in Lisbon against Sporting.

Match Highlights – Chelsea vs Schalke, Barcelona vs APOEL
After doing so well since the start of the season, Chelsea are finally held without a win, drawing 1-1 with Schalke, equalizing through Klaas-Jan Huntelaar after an opener from Cesc Fabregas which should have been disallowed. Barcelona didn’t look very impressive once again, but one goal from Gerard Pique in the first half was enough for a 1-0 win over APOEL Nicosia.

Match Highlights – Liverpool vs Ludogorets, Dortmund vs Arsenal
Not the smoothest of returns for Liverpool in the Champions League, but a dramatic finish allowed them to come away with a 2-1 win over Ludogorets, getting a debut goal from Mario Balotelli and an injury time winner by Steven Gerrard. Arsenal crashed and burned in Dortmund, losing 2-0 in an awful performance to the home side with goals from Ciro Immobile and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Real Madrid – Cristiano Ronaldo is a Champion but also a Joke
There were a lot of impressive things about Real Madrid coming from behind to score a dramatic equalizer before winning 4-1 in extra time to claim the Champions League title and finally end their hunt for La Decima, but Cristiano Ronaldo, who actually scored the final goal, had nothing to do with the achievement on that specific day.

A nice win for Real Madrid (1-0) but not one that makes them feel too safe heading into the second leg against Bayern Munich. The Germans and defending champions, as expected, were the better team and slightly more dangerous for most of the match, but found it hard to create good chances until way too late in the match.
