There seems to be a connection between how the Chicago Bulls do during a season and the optimism coming from Derrick Rose regarding his comeback chances. Last season, when it seemed he’d be coming back early, the Bulls went on a run that got them pretty near the lead in the East. The key word this season for many NBA teams is tanking. No one is admitting they’re doing it, but at some point this season, we’re going to see a whole lot of it. Are the Chicago Bulls part of that bunch? Definitely not, despite the Derrick Rose injury, the disappointing start, the loss to the Utah Jazz and all the talk about trading Luol Deng and possibly others to start something of a rebuilding process.

Bulls vs Blazers – Derrick Rose Injury Steals the Show
As of now, there is now word of how bad Derrick Rose injured his knee this time. Worst case scenario – he tore the ACL on his right knee, the “healthy one”, sending right back into rehabilitation limbo, and possibly making another comeback looking slightly impossible. Oh, and yes, there was also a basketball game which the Chicago Bulls lost 98-95 to the Portland Trail Blazers.

It’s hard to think of the Chicago Bulls of a team that’s crippled by ego battles, but the Luol Deng contract situation is affecting him, making him try too hard when Jimmy Butler isn’t playing, leading to some catastrophic shooting and a 97-87 loss to the Denver Nuggets, as the Bulls’ road problems continue to hurt what could have been a promising start to this season.

Pacers vs Bulls – Derrick Rose Needed Some Time Off Apperantly
The Indiana Pacers are undefeated no more, losing to the team seeking to replace them as the main challenger and possibly the best team in the Eastern conference. The Chicago Bulls played their best game of the season, winning 110-94, led by Luol Deng with 23 points and Derrick Rose, getting to the 20-point mark for the first time this season.
