Kobe Bryant – His Legacy Comes Before the Los Angeles Lakers
As time goes by the decision to give Kobe Bryant two more years for a salary that makes it close to impossible for the Los Angeles Lakers to build an instant championship team seems more and more like a huge mistake, which isn’t stopping the ring-hungry player to try and push the team’s ownership to forget about sensible building and try to make sure he has a team he can win with next season.

Spurs Over Lakers – This Used to be a Fair Fight
Some things seem to stay the same forever: The San Antonio Spurs are always a good team. Other things tends to change: The Los Angeles Lakers have never been worse, and for a franchise with 16 NBA championships that’s quite a rough landing to endure. In the third meeting between the teams this season, it was once again quite easy to see who the better team is, with Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker not taking it easy on a bad and almost pathetic bunch at times.

San Antonio Spurs – When the Best Meet the Worst
A crowd that’s used to a rivalry doesn’t feel bad or patient even with all of the injuries the Los Angeles Lakers have been through this year. The San Antonio Spurs jumped on the broken bunch right from the start, getting pretty much involved as the game ended with yet another humiliating result for the once proud franchise.

Oklahoma City Thunder – Revenge is Easy Against Terrible Teams
Losing to the Los Angeles Lakers is quite embarassing, at least this season, and especially for a championship caliber team like the Oklahoma City Thunder. So revenge was on the mind of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook when they stepped on the floor, thinking about that recent loss. But it’s not such a noteworthy thing to do – get payback – when it’s such a bad & sad bunch of players on the other side.

Lakers Over Thunder – The Problems Arrogance Brings
Even though the Oklahoma City Thunder have injuries, there’s no reason for them to look this bad against the Los Angeles Lakers, the worst team in the West. While Kevin Duratn & Russell Westbrook were putting on an offensive horror show, Jodie Meeks made a laughing stokc of a defense that’s supposed to be one of the best in the league.

Clippers vs Lakers – Total, Complete Humiliation
Remember when the season began and the Los Angeles Lakers actually won the opening game against the Los Angeles Clippers, by double digits no less? A lot of things have changed since then, with the Lakers looking worse and worse with every month that goes by. Their 142-94 loss to the Clippers under their championship banner might have been the lowest point of all.
-
Los Angeles Lakers – Little Moment of Happiness
There haven’t been too many pleasing moments this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, so it makes their 107-106 win over the Portland Trail Blazers thanks to a game winning touch by Wesley Johnson even easier to cling on to as a positive in a season filled with bad moments.
-
Los Angeles Lakers – Best of the Worst
Despite their 126-122 win over the Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers are still the team with the worst record in the Western conference. However, beating a “direct rival” for avoiding being rock bottom was one of the few pleasing moments they’ve been though for quite some time.
-
Los Angeles Lakers – Road Back to the Top Isn’t Guaranteed
The most interesting thing left this season for the Los Angeles Lakers seems to be the feud between Pau Gasol and Mike D’Antoni. However, looking into the near future, becoming better and a contender in two years isn’t as automatic as some may think.

Los Angeles Lakers – Embarrassing, No Matter How You Try to Spin It
Great teams and franchises can have off years, but the decline of the Los Angeles Lakers and the way they’ve set themselves up to not succeed through a 3-4 year stretch is an excellent example of a once excellently run club that has simply lost its way.
