NBA Free Agency 2012 – Dwight Howard Not Going to the Nets
According to multiple NBA sources, the Orlando Magic and the Brooklyn Nets aren’t in business anymore, the business of Dwight Howard. Although who knows what the future may bring, it seems that the biggest trade waiting to happen won’t involve the Nets, who have given up on trying to work out something with Rob Hennigan.

NBA Free Agency 2012 – Jeremy Lin Disappointed With Knicks
For once, not a lot has changed in the Dwight Howard situation except for the fact that the Orlando Magic are exploring other options besides the Nets-Clippers-Cavs mega deal. Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin, still waiting for the New York Knicks to match the offer from the Houston Rockets, is disappointed the team hasn’t moved to keep him quickly enough.

NBA Free Agency 2012 – Dwight Howard Trade Now a 4-Team Deal
The biggest name in the NBA free agency period is still Dwight Howard, who won’t be a free agent until 2013. With the Brooklyn Nets desperately trying to find a trade that works, the proposed deal has now turned into a four-team deal, with the Nets using the Cavaliers and the Clippers to get Howard from the Orlando Magic.

NBA Free Agency 2012 – Trading for Dwight Howard, Keeping Kevin Love
Slowly but surely, the Brooklyn Nets are making moves that might, eventually, allow them to land Dwight Howard, although in order to get the Orlando Magic center they’ll need a third team to help them make the trade happen. For Kevin Love, playing on the Olympic team just makes him realize he’s missing out, big-time, on playoff basketball with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

2012 NBA Free Agency – Ray Allen to the Miami Heat & Other Rumors
Rivalries don’t mean that much in the NBA, chances for titles and chasing the ring do. Ray Allen, after five season with the Boston Celtics, is signing with the Miami Heat in hopes to add another championship to the one he already won with the Celtics and joining another superstar loaded team, this time as support cast.

2012 NBA Free Agency – Houston Rockets Going for Jeremy Lin & Trading Kyle Lowry
Point guard roulette should be the title of the 2012 NBA Free Agency period so far, as Jeremy Lin is the latest big name to probably make a switch of teams, getting the offer he wanted from the Houston Rockets, which will be very hard for the New York Knicks to match due to the salary cap restrictions.

2012 NBA Free Agency – Los Angeles Lakers Get Steve Nash & Other Rumors
The Los Angeles Lakers wanted a point guard of this caliber for a long time, and they got Steve Nash, still one of the best in the NBA via a sign-and-trade deal with the Phoenix Suns, who will get four draft picks (two first round, two second round) over 2013-2015, while the Suns wasted no time by trying to find a replacement for Nash and an upgrade for the team.

2012 NBA Free Agency – Deron Williams & Other Rumors
One of the biggest questions in this summer’s free agency period has been answered. Deron Williams decided to remain with the Brooklyn Nets instead of playing for the Dallas Mavericks, feeling that the team is doing enough (Joe Johnson trade) (and offering enough) to convince him to stay.

2012 NBA Free Agency – Atlanta Hawks Trades & Other Rumors
The first big moves of the 2012 NBA free agency periods weren’t signings but big trades pulled off by the Atlanta Hawks, shipping All-Star guard Joe Johnson for no less than 7 players, to the New Jersey Nets, meanwhile sending Marvin Williams to the Utah Jazz for Devin Harris. Like the Nets, they’ve got Dwight Howard on their minds.

Trade Scenarios for the 2012 NBA Draft
Anthony Davis is the only sure thing in this draft, the wall-to-wall agreed upon number one pick. Beyond that? Just a bunch of questions, including at number 2 where the Charlotte Bobcats don’t really know what to do with their pick. Keep it and go for Thomas Robinson? Trade down and go for someone else who doesn’t want to play for them?
