As always, the Champions League group stage draw produced a group of death, as Group D will feature Real Madrid, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, who will be in for a rough couple of months. The European Champions, Chelsea were drawn with Juventus, Shakhtar and Nordsjaelland, while Barcelona and Bayern Munich got rather comfortable teams to deal with.

In their desperate attempts (at least they seem to be), Arsenal might finally peg one player back from Manchester City after losing a few to them over the years, looking to bolster their striking options with Edin Dzeko, who feels he’s being a bit left out by Roberto Mancini who prefers to see others start for him.

While it seemed that Arsenal have given up on Yann M’Vila and other teams, like Tottenham and Zenit, moved in for the 22 year old French midfielder, the departure of Alex Song to Barcelona should mean that Arsene Wenger has renewed his interest in the defensive midfielder, with the transfer window soon coming to a close.

Arsene Wenger on Theo Walcott – When a player doesn’t want to stay you either force him or let him go. After selling both Robin van Persie and Alex Song, it seems Arsenal are about to lose another key player in Walcott, with only one year left on his contract.
