Louisville Cardinals – Teddy Bridgewater Going to a BCS Bowl
A busy few days for the Lousiville football program, that began with them announcing their departure from the Big East to the ACC, followed by a huge win to claim a share in the conference title, but more importantly earn a spot in a BCS Bowl, probably the Orange Bowl, thanks to a fantastic comeback led by Teddy Bridgewater.

This wasn’t the conference championship everyone was expecting and predicting early on in the year; Instead, Stanford get to host this game a year later than what they had in mind, while UCLA, already carrying one loss to the Cardinal this season (just last week) find themselves as big underdogs on the big stage once again.

BCS Bowls – All About the Money
College Football and bowl season are about one thing: Making money. That is why there hasn’t been a playoff and why the one installed is a limited, disappointing ones. Teams from the AQ conferences: The SEC, Big Ten, ACC, Big 12 Pac-12 and still the Big East don’t want to give up on the nearly $200 million that will be paid out by the BCS to the conferences represented in the five BCS bowls.

Ohio State Buckeyes – Undefeated Doesn’t Mean Champions
Shouldn’t a 12-0 season in the Big Ten mean something? Not when Ohio State are serving bowl bans and eligibility for a conference title ban as well. This isn’t the first time over the last few years that a team will finish the season undefeated but out of reach of BCS glory. This isn’t the first time it’s happened to Urban Meyer as well.

2012 College Football Season – Week 13 BCS Standings
Well, no surprises, and no actual change. Notre Dame are number one in the polls and the computers, meaning they rule the BCS standings and won’t be moved, regardless of the results of the conference championship games next week. Alabama or Georgia have somewhat of a semifinal on their hands heading into the SEC title game, with the rest of the fog mostly regarding BCS bowl slots.

2012 College Football Season – Week 13 Rankings
No real change at the top 25 of the AP Poll, as Notre Dame passed the biggest test of their weekend, a visit to USC, with another impressive defensive stand. The other two claimants to the BCS national championship game, Alabama and Georgia, had no problem beating their in-state nemesis on rivalry week.
