Seven different players scored for the winners and goalie Henriq Lindqvist ended the talks about a cruse for him in the Bell Centre with an impressive effort that included 20 saves.

    There weren’t too many surprised faces inside the Honda Center as the Los Angeles Kings once again came through in a tight spot to win game 7 of the conference semifinals, beating the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 and making it to their third consecutive conference finals, facing the Chicago Blackhawks once again.

    The picture of the “Final Four” is getting clearer in the NHL playoffs as the Montreal Canadiens finally got past the Boston Bruins in a game 7 on the road to win 3-1 and take the second spot in the Eastern Conference Finals (where the New York Rangers are waiting), while the Los Angeles Kings beat the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 to give themselves another shot by forcing a seventh game in the series.

    Pittsburgh Penguins Collapse – Nothing New Under the Sun

    This seems to be the norm in the NHL for the last five seasons: The Pittsburgh Penguins coming into the playoffs with more talent and confidence than anyone, but then comes a loss to a lower seed that no one can really explain. This time it was the New York Rangers, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win three consecutive games and win the series with a 2-1 victory on the road thanks to a power play goal by Brad Richards in the second period.
