Kobe Bryant & Byron Scott Destroying the Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers losing isn’t too much of a rarity over the last two years. With the poisonous combination of Kobe Bryant on the floor and Byron Scott on the sidelines, expect a lot more of it this season.

Houston Rockets – James Harden is the Worst Player in the NBA for one Night
The Houston Rockets are expected to contend for a spot in the NBA Finals out of the loaded West. In the team’s opening night in front of 18,240 fans inside the Toyota Center, they lost 105-85 to the Denver Nuggets, a team some think is the worst in the NBA. All this with James Harden having the kind of night that makes him nothing but a nuisance.

New York Knicks – Derrick Williams & Kristaps Porzingis Make up for Terrible Carmelo Anthony
One of the more surprising results on the first night of full NBA action is the New York Knicks beating the Milwaukee Bucks 122-97. Not just that, but doing it while Carmelo Anthony is doing terribly? Oklahoma City Thunder – Russell Westbrook Helps Out Billy Donovan, Shreds Tony Parker
Everyone talking about the return of Kevin Durant probably gave Russell Westbrook some extra motivation for the first game of the season, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 112-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs, giving Billy Donovan a nice victory on his debut in the NBA while revealing the problems for the still meshing Spurs.

NBA Rumors – Chicago Bulls Smart Enough Not to Get Carried Away
Winning on opening night is an isolated event, a one-time thing. The Chicago Bulls looked impressive at times, clunky at others, to kick off their season on a positive note, but it’s very imaginative linking their victory over the favorites to win the Eastern conference to their own chances of ending up as champions.
