New Orleans Saints – Winning Despite Drew Brees Being Less Than Amazing
Weird things happened on this Monday Night Football in New Orleans. No, the Saints didn’t suddenly shut down on defense, still giving up over 400 yards for the 8th straight time, the longest streak since at least 1950. But they did enough, mostly blitzing and blitzing well; enough to make Drew Brees have an OK night and still come away with the 28-13 win.

Philadelphia Eagles – The Never Ending Torment of Michael Vick
When you’re sacked 7 times, the chances of winning a game reduce significantly. This has been the kind of physical abuse Michael Vick has been exposed to all season, and you can’t expect your quarterback to not make mistakes when he’s running for his life over half the time. The Philadelphia Eagles have run out of excuses, and Andy Reid seems to have run out of answers.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Isaac Redman Resurrects Running Game
Being in the bottom half of the league’s rushing team isn’t something the Pittsburgh Steelers are used to. On Sunday, playing in New York against the Super Bowl champion Giants, they found out that their third option at running back, Isaac Redman, might be the player to bring them back on track when ti comes to the ground game.

Atlanta Falcons – Michael Turner Keeps Them Undefeated
The only real headlines Michael Turner has gotten this season was after being arrested for a DUI. In their Sunday Night Football win over the Dallas Cowboys (19-13), Turner probably had his second noteworthy moment of the season, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown, keeping the Atlanta Falcons as the only undefeated team in the NFL.

2012 NFL Season – Eagles vs Saints Predictions
There’s no quarterback controversy with the New Orleans Saints, as Drew Brees seems to be the only good thing they have this season, while their defense is record-breaking bad. There’s a lot of turmoil around the Philadelphia Eagles, both regarding their quarterback Michael Vick and their defense, which has been awful in recent weeks.

2012 NFL Season – Week 9 Predictions
Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger get to face each other as the unstoppable New York Giants host the improving Pittsburgh Steelers, while the undefeated Atlanta Falcons have a Sunday night date against the turnover-prone Tony Romo and Dallas Cowboys and the AFC’s Best, the Houston Texans, will have a big rushing battle against the Buffalo Bills.

San Diego Chargers – Philip Rivers Winning for Norv Turner
On the wishlist the San Diego Chargers have for Christmas is also a request to play the Kansas City Chiefs more than twice a season. Showing up against the most pathetic team in the NFL doesn’t make you great, but it ensures two division wins in a season when wins are hard to come by for Philip Rivers and always-on-the-hot-seat Norv Turner.

NFL Trade Rumors – Tim Tebow to Jacksonville Jaguars
There’s no denying that up until now, the arrival of Tim Tebow to the New York Jets has been a pretty massive failure. Not because of him, but because he isn’t getting any chance, while Mark Sanchez keeps on holding to the starting job. A team in desperate need of pretty much anything, including quarterback, are the Jacksonville Jaguars.

2012 NFL Season – Chiefs vs Chargers Predictions
One thing we’ve been learning is that Thursday night games have a tendency to stray away from normalcy and expected result, so even though the Kansas City Chiefs have been arguably the worst in the NFL this season, the troubled San Diego Chargers are in no way guaranteed to beat them.

2012 NFL Season – Week 8 Power Rankings
Another week, and the Atlanta Falcons find new ways to stay undefeated, this time enjoying a great game from Matt Ryan in Philadelphia. The New York Giants played well for a quarter and a half to stay on top of the NFC East and the San Francisco 49ers went back to Alex Smith, who rose to the challenge, in an easy win over the Arizona Cardinals.
