Rockets Over 76ers – Shouldn’t Have Been This Close
The Philadelphia 76ers might be the laughing stock of the NBA, but that’s not stopping them from playing hard to get their first win. They almost had it but lost to the Houston Rockets 88-87, as James Harden scored the winning layup while Michael Carter-Williams blew it on the final two possessions.

Mavericks Over 76ers – Beating the Worst Team in NBA History
A dark day in the history of the Philadelphia 76ers, a once proud franchise that is now the most pathetic in the NBA. They were beaten 123-70 by the Dallas Mavericks, as the Sam Hinkie rebuilding project continues to look more like an embarrassment and how to tear apart a basketball team than a way to win this team a championship in the next few years.

Houston Rockets – James Harden Won’t Have Many Easy Games Like This One
Going up against the Philadelphia 76ers is an excellent way to pick up an easy win these day, not to mention pad up your own stats. The Houston Rockets came away with a 104-93 win, led by James Harden and a bit of Trevor Ariza, while Dwight Howard didn’t really need to do anything special on offense.

Minnesota Timberwolves – More Than Just the Most Fun Team in the NBA
It’s not quite clear how good the Minnesota Timberwolves will be this season, but adding Andrew Wiggins to this team to go along with Ricky Rubio, rookie Zach LaVine and generally having a creative and very fast group coming together might be the most fun team to watch in the league this season, although playing against the sad tank job of the Philadelphia 76ers isn’t exactly indicative of anything, especially in the preseason.

NBA Preseason – Boston Celtics Have Hope, Philadelphia 76ers Still Terrible
The Boston Celtics won’t make the playoffs this season. Neither will the Philadelphia 76ers, but even without Rajon Rondo (who might get traded at some point), there’s some ready talent on this team and not just extremely young players backed with too many draft picks. For Sixers fans, it’s just going to be another season of hovering around or having the worst record in the NBA.

Kevin Love Trade – LeBron James Has the Dream Team he Wanted
This has been the summer of LeBron James, leaving the Miami Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers and engineering a huge trade that landed Kevin Love next to him while getting rid of two number one draft picks in Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins, creating a superstar team with an improved big three ready to win championships right now.
-
NBA Rumors – Minnesota Timberwolves & Philadelphia 76ers Completing Thaddeus Young Trade
The picture is getting clearer when it comes to the biggest multi-team trade that still hasn’t actually happened in this NBA offseason: The Minnesota Timberwolves will acquire Thaddeus Young from the Philadelphia 76ers and will only give up Alexey Shved, Luc Mbah a Moute and a first round draft pick for the talented power forward.
-
NBA Rumors – Minnesota Timberwolves Might Replace Kevin Love with Thaddeus Young
When this whole Kevin Love trade saga will be over and the Minnesota Timberwolves once again find themselves far away from any national spotlight, it might be because the Philadelphia 76ers got themselves involved in the deal, and were willing to give away Thaddeus Young.

Houston Rockets – Chris Bosh Closer to Pushing Jeremy Lin Out the Door
One must make room for the other. As Chris Bosh gets closer to signing a max contract with the Houston Rockets, Jeremy Lin is getting closer to being traded away, probably to the Philadelphia 76ers, in order to make cap room for the arrival of Bosh.
-
Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Not Going Alone to the Philadelphia 76ers
There seems to be an agreement on behalf of the Philadelphia 76ers to acquire Jeremy Lin from the Houston Rockets, but it’s not going to be just him, also looking for a draft pick or two in order to swallow the cap hit that comes with acquiring the point guard.
