Los Angeles Lakers – Jeremy Lin With His Best of the Preseason
The Los Angeles Lakers lost (again), playing their last preseason game, 92-93 to the Sacramento Kings. Jeremy Lin once again came off the bench, and was the best player on the court excluding DeMarcus Cousins. Unless Kobe Bryant tries to steal the show too much during the season, Lin is likely to have more games like this very soon.

Los Angeles Lakers – Jeremy Lin & Julius Randle Will be Very Fun to Watch
The Los Angeles Lakers beating the Portland Trail Blazers in a preseason game doesn’t say anything about the usefulness of Kobe Bryant in the setup, but it did provide another example of just how good it is for them to have Jeremy Lin on the floor, especially when teaming him up with Julius Randle at the same time.
-
Golden State Warriors – Misleadingly Good in the Preseason
Without Chris Paul and Blake Griffin on the floor, there was nothing surprising about seeing the Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Clippers 125-107 in a preseason game, led by Stephen Curry, completing four-for-four in preseason games against teams from the city of angels.
-
Los Angeles Lakers – Jeremy Lin Can Help Kobe Bryant in the Fourth
If it wasn’t for Jeremy Lin, Kobe Bryant wouldn’t have an opportunity to grab some headlines and take over in the end of the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Lakers lost another preseason game, this time 114-108 in overtime to the Phoenix Suns.

Heat Over Rockets – Only the Stars Show Up
The NBA preseason is often a time for lesser known players and guys fighting for a place in the league to shine, but it was mostly about the stars of the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat, James Harden & Dwight Howard on one side, Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh on the other, as the two teams clashed in Miami.
-
Oklahoma City Thunder – Russell Westbrook Will Struggle Without Kevin Durant
It’s always difficult to decide just how much the preseason means. With the Oklahoma City Thunder, it’s less about their record and more about how badly they’ve been playing without Kevin Durant, as taking more shots by Russell Westbrook hasn’t really been helping make up for the MVP’s absence.
-
Cavaliers Over Bulls – Derrick Rose vs Kyrie Irving Is Preseason Magic
They didn’t go head to head during the entire game, but both Derrick Rose and Kyrie Irving put on quite the show in what is probably something of a prelude to the main attraction this season in the Eastern Conference: The Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers fighting to win the top spot in the conference and eventually make the NBA finals.
-
Miami Heat – Shabazz Napier Wasn’t Such a Bad Pick After All
Just a preseason game, but when it’s a rematch between the teams of the last two NBA finals, the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, there’s always something extra to it, with Shabazz Napier impressive in a 111-108 win for the Heat.
-
Los Angeles Lakers – Jeremy Lin Still Not Playing and Everything Looks Terrible
Sometimes the preseason results are meaningless, but there are losses and there are worse things. Jeremy Lin didn’t play for the second game in a row as the Los Angeles Lakers were humiliated at home against the Utah Jazz, losing 119-86, while Kobe Bryant got another example of just how bad of a team he has around him.

Chicago Bulls – Jimmy Butler Keeps Proving He’s a Star
This is going to be the season Jimmy Butler completes his transformation from a useful lineup player to an actual borderline superstar for the Chicago Bulls, putting on a wonderful performance in the fourth quarter to lead his team over the Atlanta Hawks in a 85-84 preseason win, including the game winning shot with the buzzer going off.
