Warriors vs Bobcats – Kemba Walker Beats Stephen Curry Where it Matters
In a night that turned out to be a scoring duel between Stephen Curry and Kemba Walker, it was the Charlotte Bobcats and their point guard who came out on top with the 115-111 win, despite giving up the individual battle to the Golden State Warriors star.

Raptos vs Lakers – Kobe Bryant Needs a Lot More Time
Too much focus on Kobe Bryant, and not enough on the rest of the game. The Toronto Raptors should be a team the Los Angeles Lakers beat at home, but it’s going to take time getting used to life with Bryant, for good or bad, back on the court again. The visitors didn’t mind not having Rudy Gay playing for them anymore by the looks of it.
-
Pacers vs Thunder – Not a Fair Fight Right Now
All the talk about how good the Indiana Pacers being the best in the NBA and Paul George being a better player than Kevin Durant went into hiatus after a 118-94 win for the Oklahoma City Thunder, keeping their undefeated status and proving some kind of a point in the meaningless power rankings at this stage of the season.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Seeing James Harden & Dwight Howard Doing Well Without Him
Initially, with Jeremy Lin out of the picture due to his ankle injury, the Houston Rockets looked disorganized and selfish. But since the return of Chandler Parsons, things have been looking better. James Harden isn’t as selfish and even putting an effort on defense, while Dwight Howard is playing his best basketball since signing that huge deal in the summer.

Miami Heat – LeBron James Great When the Plan is Working
Even without Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat didn’t have too much trouble getting their own dose of payback against the Detroit Pistons, beating them 110-95 with another almost triple-double from LeBron James, who along with his teammates played the right way to overcome a key absentee and the usual problems in the paint and on the boards.
-
Celtics vs Knicks – Impossible to Comprehend
Even hours after the game was over, the final scoreline and the meaning of it were quite difficult to acknowledge. The Boston Celtics, a decent team with a new head coach and pretty bad roster, beat the New York Knicks, a team with a superstar and not much else, 114-73, at the Madison Square Garden. It still doesn’t sound right.
-
Detroit Pistons – Can’t Beat Them at Their Own Game
This is what the Detroit Pistons, with their heavy frontcourt of Josh Smith, Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe, have been waiting for; a team that puts on the same limited lineup, without a real small forward. The Chicago Bulls, because of yet another injury to a key player, were forced into it, resulting in a 92-75 win for the Pistons, who lost to the Bulls by 20 points just over a week ago.

Miami Heat – LeBron James & Dwyane Wade Put on a Show
After getting some rest, which coincided with two consecutive losses for the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade was back in festive mood, which resulted in some entertaining basketball on the court, combining for some high flying alley oops with his partner in crime, LeBron James, and pulling off yet another post-game photobomb while LeBron was getting interviewed, drawing even more attention to himself.

Indiana Pacers – Making History One Win at a Time
After years of being on the outside of the important moments in the NBA season, the Indiana Pacers are generating them so far. The team with the best record in the league, picking up wins in places they haven’t won in for years. Next up were the San Antonio Spurs, losing to the Paul George and co. phenomenon 111-100, finding it a bit too difficult to handle the length, athleticism and skill Frank Vogel has to work with.

Dallas Mavericks – Monta Ellis Gets to Have The Last Word
In a game filled with huge unbalanced shots from players like Dirk Nowitzki and Nicolas Batum, followed by some clutch shots from Damian Lillard, it was Monta Ellis, the second half of the dynamic duo the Dallas Mavericks have finally put together, that had the last laugh with a game-winning, buzzer-beating shot to give the Mavs a 108-106 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
