Kevin Durant has won the NBA rookie of the year award in 2008, he’s a three time NBA All-Star, two time NBA scoring champion and two time All-NBA first team member. It’s time he adds the MVP award to everything else he’s achieved in the (almost) five season’s he has been in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Seattle Supersonics.

When Everything Clicks, the Heat are the Best in the NBA
LeBron James didn’t need some super effort to bring the Miami Heat back to their winning ways. Neither did Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh. The combination of pretty much everyone playing well and the awful Dallas Mavericks led to the Heat winning 106-85, making it 15 consecutive wins at home.

McDonald’s All-American MVP Awards – The Best and the Forgotten
LeBron James won the McDonald’s All-American MVP award in 2003, seven months later beginning his NBA career. Kenny Gregory won that award won that award in 1997, later going on to play for the Kansas Jayhawks in College. He never made it into the NBA, spending most of his career so far moving around European teams. His athletics abilites couldn’t hide his skill faults.

The Thunder beating the Miami Heat sent the Heat into another bad loss against the Indiana Pacers, and the questions regarding their ability to win the NBA title is put into question once again. Having LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh put the Heat immediatly in contender territory for the second straight year. Having Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden? Kevin Durant & Thunder Maintain Western Supremacy
Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t the best team in the better NBA conference for nothing. Even with Russell Westbrook not having one of his greatest days, Durant led the Thunder to an impressive 103-87 win over the Miami Heat, who looked lost from the start in their visit to OKC.

Nothing New About Dwyane Wade Taking Over in the Fourth
Dwyane Wade led the Heat in scoring with 31 points, but most importantly in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 in the final period. Chris Bosh had his best game since returing from mourning, while LeBron James had an impressive stat line in all but scoring as Miami beat the visiting Orlando Magic 91-81.

Who Needs Derrick Rose When You Have John Lucas III? (Heat vs Bulls)
Derrick Rose wasn’t even on the court, but the Chicago Bulls didn’t need him as it turns out, beating the Miami Heat, loaded with all their big three, with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combining for 71 points. In a 106-102 win, probable preview to yet another Eastern Conference Final clash, the Bulls were just too much as a team for a worn out side, falling behind in the race for home court advantage.

Dwight Howard announced he’ll be staying with the Orlando Magic until the end of the season, after he had an huge 24 point, 25 rebound night, leading his team to a overtime 104-98 win over the Miami Heat, as LeBron James was having one of his weakest games this season.
