It’s only been a year, but things haven’t simmered down between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat. LeBron James got pissed off hearing a comment Frank Vogel never made, which didn’t disturb some reporters letting James know about it. We’ll probably be hearing plenty of trash talk from the other side soon enough. It’ll be a lot messier than it is out West, on the court and in the media as well.

Beginning the postseason with a 4-0 sweep should indicate that your team is going all the way, and in 2013, it just might be the case with both the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs looking like the strongest teams in each conference, but more often than not, a team that starts out too hot burns out before the ending, rarely fulfilling that early promise and going all the way to win the NBA title.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Needs to Find Himself Another Team
There’s nothing wrong with being a bench player who gives about 15-20 minutes a night, but Jeremy Lin wants to be and can be a starting point guard in the NBA, but it’s getting clearer and clearer that playing for the Houston Rockets under Kevin McHale and next to James Harden isn’t that beneficial for him, and probably for the team.

Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry, NBA Playoffs MVP (So Far)
Hurting ankle isn’t going to stop the Golden State Warriors from doing a little bit of upsetting and continue to be the most pleasant surprise in the NBA playoffs up to this point. He’s getting quite a lot of help from Jarrett Jack (on offense) and Andrew Bogut (on defense,), not to mention the fans inside the ORACLE Arena, but so far, there isn’t a single player in the postseason playing better than him.

San Antonio Spurs – The Final Nail in the Lakers Coffin
It seems like the San Antonio Spurs kept improving as the series went on, while their rivals sank into great despair with their chances slowly being eliminated off the board. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan didn’t need to play for most of the second half as the Los Angeles Lakers failed to show up for the two home games in the series, getting swept in the most humiliating fashion, barely putting up a fight.

Miami Heat – LeBron James Sweeps Without Dwyane Wade
Maybe he was envious of how dominant Kevin Durant was without his #2, so LeBron James went out without Dwyane Wade and didn’t let that really hurt him, leading the Miami Heat to another double digit win and earn their first playoff sweep in the Big Three era.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Should Never Have Played in Game 3
For the second straight game, the Houston Rockets lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by 3 points. Jeremy Lin had another one that he won’t be too proud of, but there’s a good chance that without him the team would have done better – Lin played injured, leaving the game quite early looking quite limited (At best) during the time he did spend on the floor.
