FC Barcelona – Pedro Gives Lionel Messi a Break From Scoring
Hard to tell if the new Barcelona is really less about possession and simply more about being direct and finishing off matches later rather than sooner, but if it gives the chance for Pedro to steal the spotlight from Lionel Messi with an impressive hat trick, you won’t hear too many complaining about it.

FC Barcelona – A Chance For David Villa & Alexis Sanchez
In a world and team where standing too close to Lionel Messi for too long might hurt your perceived ability, Alexis Sanchez and David Villa are thankful for any chance to score for Barcelona.

Barcelona and Real Madrid Make Bad Signings Too
I don’t think too many people expected Alex Song to be a big part of the Barcelona plan for success this season, unless injuries took their toll on the first team. I’m not sure a lot of fans thought Luka Modric is some substantial upgrade to Real Madrid, or better than one of their midfielders. It didn’t stop Marca voters to choose them as the worst signings of the season so far.

FC Barcelona – Never Ending Lionel Messi Magic
Perfect players don’t come along too often, but Lionel Messi is probably one of the few. Any problem Barcelona were having or usually have this season is simply hidden behind the fact of having the best player in the world, who at times makes us feel that the only reason he doesn’t score more goals is because it’s too easy for him and he gets bored.

FC Barcelona – Lionel Messi Can’t Play Central Defender
Sometimes, it seems that Barcelona build their team each summer thinking – We’ve got Lionel Messi, the best player in the world; we’ve got Xavi and Iniesta, the best midfielders in the world. The rest will work itself out. And then, you find yourself heading into the Clasico, to play against Real Madrid, without a natural centre back.

FC Barcelona – Cesc Fabregas Covers for Lionel Messi
In truth, if it wasn’t for the referee, Barcelona wouldn’t have won at Sevilla. Cesc Fabregas would have never scored two goals, David Villa couldn’t have scored the winning goal and most of the focus would have gone to Lionel Messi having his worse game of the season, left goalless for the second consecutive time.

FC Barcelona – The Cost of Building the Current Squad
While most people view Barcelona as a club that mostly uses home grown talent (which is true, to an extent), the current crop of purchased players, beginning with Eric Abidal in 2007, the only pre-Guardiola player outside player still with the squad, cost €211.5 million to assemble, including David Villa (the most expensive signing in the history of the club), Cesc Fabregas and Dani Alves.

Transfer Rumors 2012 – Barcelona Moving in on Alex Song
Despite all the denials, it seems that Alex Song might be closer to leaving Arsenal for Barcelona than initially thought, with rumors of Barca vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu travelling to London in an attempt to successfully negotiate a deal for the Cameroonian midfielder.

FC Barcelona – Alex Song Coming or Not?
Again with Barcelona, again another Arsenal player. This time no one with an actual connection to the club. “Just” Alex Song, the 24 year old Cameroonian midfielder, who’s mostly been talked about by several Barca players, which means that despite all of Tito Vilanova’s denials, they’re probably planning to make a bid for the player.
