NBA All-Star: Dunk Contest Becomes More Boring Each Year
Another year goes by and the Dunk Contest remains a problem for the NBA on All-Star weekend, once again unable to draw better or at least better known players than Giannis Antetokounmpo, Zach LaVine, Victor Oladipo and Mason Plumlee.

John Wall Wins a Dunk Contest That’s Becoming Redundant
It’s hard to believe someone thought making the Dunk Contest about an East and West thing was a good idea, and yet they still went through with it. The East won, John Wall came out as the big winner from what used to be the biggest part of All-Star Saturday and now is just some awkward sequence with very few moments that get the crowd engaged.

LeBron James Saves His Best Dunks For Practice
The community of NBA fans will have to live with the fact that LeBron James isn’t going to compete in the Slam Dunk Contest yet again and probably never will. Three-Point Shootout is Good as its Best Contestant
Unlike the usually disappointing dunk contest, the three-point shootout isn’t about star power, although having Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry stroking the deep ball didn’t really hurt; it’s about having one or two competitors simply having a terrific night from beyond the arc.

Slam Dunk Contest isn’t Worth Much Without Star Power
No star power, not really interesting. There’s a problem with what used to be the signature moment of the All-Star weekend, but is now stretching a concept that seems to have gone quite boring and stale in recent years. People like Terrence Ross and Jeremy Evans, but aren’t that interested in seeing them battle for the Slam Dunk Contest crown.

Your Deserving and Undeserving 2012 NBA All-Star Starters and Reserves
The NBA All-Star doesn’t feel exactly right to some, but a 66 game NBA season is still longer than what we had in 1999, which makes it possible to squeeze it in. After announcing the starters, most of them deserving except for Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin, the guys on the bench got their names called up this week.
