Gulf Nations Trying to Kick Australia From the Asian Football Confederation Because They’re Better Than Them

With Australia on the verge of winning the Asian Cup for the first time (playing in the final against South Korea) it seems there’s a movement within the AFC to kick them out of the confederation, stemming from pure jealousy and disappointment, mostly on the part of the Arab Gulf nations, frustrated that there’s yet another big player on the field that’s better than them.

Reaching day 12 of the 2014 World Cup means we’re entering the most intense week of the competition, which includes 16 matches in a four day span. Group A will decide its qualifying teams as Cameroon, already out of the race, taking on Brazil, while Croatia and Mexico play at the same time. The best match of the World Cup so far as Australia were able for about an hour to outplay the Netherlands until they ran out of gas. Eventually, the Dutch managed to come through with a dramatic 3-2 victory that keeps them on top of Group B and pretty much secures their place in the round of 16 unless something completely unexpected happens as the trio of Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Memphis Depay scored for the Oranje.

    2014 World Cup – Day 2 Results & Table

Day 2 of the 2014 World Cup brought us the sensational result from group B as the Netherlands crushed Spain 5-1 with braces from Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben. Chile also won in that group, beating Australia 3-1, while Mexico capped things off in Group A with an impressive 1-0 win over Cameroon which wasn’t as close as the scoreline might suggest.
