After some excellent hockey throughout a brilliant Western Conference finals series, game 7 was about lucky bounces and ugly goals. After a hectic first period with both teams scoring five times, thing settled down and got into overtime, where the Los Angeles Kings got their big break through an Alec Martinez goal, giving them a 5-4 win over the Chicago Blackhawks and a 4-3 win in the series.

NHL Playoffs – Los Angeles Kings Slip Up, Chicago Blackhawks Grab Momentum
The best game of the series, so far, turned out to be one that probably shifts all momentum in the other direction. The Chicago Blackhawks might have been down twice in this game 6, but managed to comeback and pull off a 4-3 win thanks to a dramatic Patrick Kane goal, tying the series at 3-3, coming from two games behind, hosting the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Final finale to see who goes to play for the Stanley Cup.

Another Western conference final in the NHL playoffs, and once again the Los Angeles Kings are trying to keep up with the much better Chicago Blackhawks. They couldn’t in game 1, losing 3-1, finding it very difficult to beat Corey Crawford or stop Jonathan Toews when it mattered the most.
