2012 NBA Free Agency – Atlanta Hawks Trades & Other Rumors
The first big moves of the 2012 NBA free agency periods weren’t signings but big trades pulled off by the Atlanta Hawks, shipping All-Star guard Joe Johnson for no less than 7 players, to the New Jersey Nets, meanwhile sending Marvin Williams to the Utah Jazz for Devin Harris. Like the Nets, they’ve got Dwight Howard on their minds.

NBA Trade Deadline 2012 – All the Deals
No big deals except for the Monta Ellis – Andrew Bogut trade (along with some spare parts), as the 2012 NBA trade deadline went and gone without the big splash of last year (Carmelo Anthony, remember), as the major players – Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Josh Smith if you will stayed put, while team mostly messed around with minor changes.

Bryant Stops Scoring and Lakers Keep Winning
Kobe Bryant couldn’t help himself but continue and throw over 20 shots, limiting himself to “only” 22 field goal attempts and 14 points, making only 7 of his shots. For once this season, he gave up on the tough last shot, finding Derek Fisher who hit the winning three pointer win 3 second to go, beating the Dallas Mavericks 73-70.

NBA Lockout Still Nowhere Near Ending
One more week, 30 hours of negotiations, this time with a federal mediator George Cohen, with and without sick David Stern, and still, the NBA players and owners seem hundreds of millions of dollars apart, and more of the season getting cancelled is now in jeopardy.

Six Hours of Talks Don’t Bring NBA Lockout End any Closer
Well, Six hours later, and we’re still in the middle of the NBA lockout. Not that I expected David Stern, Adam Silver and Derek Fisher to fix everything and give up on billions of dollars in six hours. But still, at least according to what they’re saying or probably what they’re not saying, we’re not any closer to end the work dispute and get the 2011-2012 NBA season going.

With no Progress Made in Friday Talks, NBA Lockout Seems Inevitable
Numbers being thrown back and forth, cool T-Shirts from the players and the usual political words from David Stern. Bottom line – We don’t have a proposal, no agreement between the players and owners. The NBA Lockout is very near.

As Owners and Players Present Proposals Hoping to Avoid Lockout, Eyes Turn to Friday
New hope or just glaring shots in the dark, aimed at nothing? Tuesday was the talk on friday – THE deadline. Now, we wait for friday, a day after the 2011 NBA drat, which hasn’t been getting the usual media coverage and talk it usually does. First of all, the talent pool this year isn’t as lucrative. Lockout notions are to blame. Sometimes, the talent isn’t that great. Although we can only be a judge of that in a few years I guess. For now, the future of the 2011-2012 NBA season is at hand.

Derek Fisher and Other Thoughts After Game 3
The Lakers took a 2-1 lead in the 2010 Finals series last night, winning a hard, physical, great playoff game 91-84, which featured two great defenses, one aging role player who still had enough for another memorable performance, tons of bad calls and a Boston team that just found it hard to get it going offensively all night.
