Indiana Pacers – Lance Stephenson Steps Up to Help Roy Hibbert

After the game 3 loss, the Indiana Pacers needed someone else and something new to add to their constant plan of building on Roy Hibbert. In game 4, they got it from Lance Stephenson, providing his best game of the series so far by simply raising the level of aggression and intensity to something the players in front of him simply couldn’t match.

Indiana Pacers – Paul George Needs to Get Some Help

From the first moment in this series, one glaring fact was being hidden by Paul George doing much better than expected on the offensive side, scoring 49 points in the first two games of the series. He can’t really stop LeBron James on his own, and eventually, the Indiana Pacers started paying for it, noticing it a bit too late.

Indiana Pacers – Paul George & Roy Hibbert Need to Keep This Up

While Paul George and Roy Hibbert continued their excellent series against the Miami Heat in game 2, George Hill might have been the real difference with a much improved performance from the series opener, leading to a 97-93 win and a 1-1 tie in the Eastern conference finals.

Miami Heat Benefit From LeBron James Being a Different Kind of Superstar

The Miami Heat aren’t the best team in the NBA for the last couple of years, winning 46 of their last 49 games just because LeBron James is a superstar. It’s because he’s the kind of superstar no one has even seen before.

  • Indiana Pacers – Paul George Isn’t The Hero Because Frank Vogel Left Roy Hibbert On the Bench

Indiana Pacers – Paul George Isn’t The Hero Because Frank Vogel Left Roy Hibbert On the Bench

It was all set up for Paul George to be the unlikely hero of game 1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. He did a good job on LeBron James; hit a wild three pointer that sent the game into overtime; and three super-clutch free throws with 2.2 seconds left to give the Indiana Pacers a 102-101 lead. And then Frank Vogel takes out Roy Hibbert for the final play (again!), leading to a defeat off a buzzer beating layup.

LeBron James Getting Ready for the Miami Heat – Indiana Pacers Hate

It’s only been a year, but things haven’t simmered down between the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat. LeBron James got pissed off hearing a comment Frank Vogel never made, which didn’t disturb some reporters letting James know about it. We’ll probably be hearing plenty of trash talk from the other side soon enough. It’ll be a lot messier than it is out West, on the court and in the media as well.

Indiana Pacers – Roy Hibbert Destroying Tyson Chandler in the Paint

In the most un-watchable playoff series in a very long time, seeing Roy Hibbert and in general the Indiana Pacers look so dominant physically is probably the only thing that keeps a lot of people going, but there’s no doubt that through all the ugliness it’s impressive to see a team so confident and so superior in almost every physical battle, getting a lot from Paul George and George Hill when it doesn’t come to offense.

  • Indiana Pacers – There’s No Place Like Home

Indiana Pacers – There’s No Place Like Home

In a series with all five games decided in favor of the home team by quite a distance, game 5 was no different for the Indiana Pacers, finally getting what they need from David West, while Paul George focused on doing the right thing instead of trying to score, regardless of the situation.

  • Indiana Pacers – Developing a Worrying Mini Crisis

Indiana Pacers – Developing a Worrying Mini Crisis

Earlier this season, the Indiana Pacers, thanks to the defense and the offensive rise of Paul George, looked like a potential dark horse to win the East. All of a sudden, the wheels are falling off, as fatigue and simply bad play are hurting this team badly, possibly even losing their second spot in the conference.
