Arsenal FC – Laurent Koscielny & Per Mertesacker Are the Keys to the Title
This season and generally under Arsene Wenger, Arsenal are known for their creative football and their attacking players taking center stage. However, like in previous seasons, how far this team goes and whether or not they win a championship depends on how well Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker do at the center of this defense.

Arsenal FC – Per Mertesacker Knows It’s a Very Long Season
One of the defining factors this season for Arsenal so far has been the relative ease of their schedule up to this point. However, and Per Mertesacker, the team’s centre back, will be the first to admit it, there’s a tougher road left for them to travel, and much more difficult tests left to play.

Arsenal FC – Santi Cazorla Can’t be the Team’s Best Player
Who is the best player on the current Arsenal squad? Santi Cazorla? Theo Walcott? Jack Wilshere? It doesn’t really matter. Arsenal FC – Per Mertesacker Is Wrong About Being Title Contenders
While consistency might be the most important thing for a team that doesn’t overspend and is trying to win a major title, alone, without quality, it’s close to meaningless. For two consecutive seasons, Laurent Koscielny has proved to be the difference between Arsenal finishing in the top 4 and making the Champions League, and an end result that would have been disastrous for the club, and probably for Arsene Wenger as well.

Arsenal FC – Olivier Giroud & Theo Walcott in Promising Partnership
Once again, the defense looked terrible whenever it was pressed. Not for the first time, Arsenal hardly showed up for the first half. Yet there were enough positives to take from a match which could have ended as another disaster, instead finishing with a positive note, thanks to the improving partnership of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal FC – Theo Walcott to Save the Day
Most of the work on the FA Cup triumph was done by Olivier Giroud, who suddenly can’t stop scoring (although against a vastly inferior opponents), but defensive malfunctions set up Theo Walcott to save Arsenal from an embarrassing result with a goal that probably caused him some deja vu.

Arsenal FC – Finding Lukas Podolski Again
Happy endings aren’t what Arsenal is about this season, but at least realizing that Lukas Podolski still has the ability to score a goal here and there was the best news to from their FA Cup draw.
