    FIFA are handing out the Puskas award for the best goal of 2013 for a fifth time, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic looking like the clear favorite to win the trophy, even though Bicycle kicks don’t win, with dribbling and long range cannons being preferred. Neymar, the 2011 winner, is also nominated, but is unlikely to finish in the top 3.

    Once again, an award Messi can win and Ronaldo can’t. He isn’t even nominated. The Puskas Award, FIFA’s best goal of the year for 2012 has 10 goals up for the title, with Lionel Messi on the list, along with the dribbling (and last year’s champion) Neymar & Hatem Ben Arfa who are the big names on the list.

    Lionel Messi added another award to his incredibly packed trophy cabinet, winning his third consecutive Ballon d’Or, further cementing his place, at least in the books as the record will show, as the greatest player in the world and this era. Cristiano Ronaldo and Xavi finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, while Neymar picked up the Puskas award for 2011 goal of the year.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s wonder strike against Lecce, Neymar’s wizadry with the ball or maybe even Dejan Stankovic’s 50 meter volley could give him a fight.
