Referee Dieter Van Esch With the Worst Decision of the Season
It’s hard to believe how blind a refereeing crew can be, even when there’s no real need for a replay back at home to see what actually happened. In a match between Royal Antwerp and Geel (Belgian second division) referee Dieter Van Esch managed to completely blow a situation in which a dive by Marijn Steurs of Geel, which happened outside the box, turned into a penalty kick despite the non-foul.

How Does Howard Webb Sleep at Night?
Howard Webb keeps messing up, and it keeps happening in favor of Manchester United. Alex Ferguson immediately went out on the attack, complaining the linesman screwed Manchester United in their 3-3 draw again Chelsea, but it was a poor attempt at deflecting the usual post-match criticism of the, currently, worst referee in the Premier League.

Howard Webb’s Worst Decision Ever
Some calls are questionable, others controversial. What Howard Webb did in the Sunderland – Everton Match on Boxing day was a disgrace to himself and profession of soccer referees. Leon Osman did go down, but no one touched him. Even the Opposing manager, who benefited from the call, David Moyes, said it was a poor decision.
