    There’s no definite answer to what is the biggest rivalry in College Basketball, but when Kentucky plays Louisville, it’s probably as good as it gets. After four consecutive losses to the Wildcats, Chane Behanan and Russ Smith proved to be too much of a difference as one of the best teams in the nation outplayed the athletic and too young team built in Lexington.

    Rick Pitino will make his sixth trip to the Final Four this weekend, his second with Louisville. For John Calipari, it’ll be his third visit to the national Semi Final, his second consecutive time with Kentucky. Like in that 1996 Semi Final between them, when Calipari was coaching UMass and Pitino was the Kentucky Head coach, all the focus is on them.

    Russ Smith has been having an up and down Sophomore season, but it seems everything is coming through for him in the 2012 NCAA tournament, coming up with his best game since January, scoring 19 points off the bench to lead Louisville into the Final Four with a 72-68 win over Florida.

    The Louisville Cardinals weren’t supposed to make it this far, ranked 17th in the nation and getting the #4 seed in the West Region. But Michigan State were overrated to begin with, partially because everybody loves Tom Izzo. Rick Pitino? Great coach, but not as loved, in an understatement kind of tone. Now the Cardinals are in the Elite eight, and the Spartans are the first #1 team to fall in the 2012 NCAA tournament.
