There have been a lot of low points for the Texas offense in 2014 with Tyrone Swoopes at quarterback. The 31-7 loss to Arkansas in the Texas Bowl might be rock bottom for the Longhorns and Charlie Strong, not getting the debut season he dreamed of when taking the role of head coach.

College Football – Day 7 Bowl Game Scores
A terrible day for the Big 12 as we move into more prestigious bowl territory. West Virginia lost to Texas A&M in the Liberty Bowl while the big names (but not best teams of the conference) were humiliated – Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl against Clemson and Texas, finishing the season below .500, by Arkansas in the Texas Bowl.

College Football – SEC Didn’t Want Texas A&M to Play Texas so They Sent Arkansas Instead
The best currently defunct rivalry in college football is the one between Texas and Texas A&M. It seems the SEC had done everything in its power and succeeded in preventing the two schools from playing each other in a bowl game this season, which instead will be a chance for Arkansas to revive their fierce rivalry with the Longhorns.

Syracuse Beats Minnesota – Nothing Comes Easy This Year
The first season in the ACC for Syracuse was had plenty of close games that went both ways. Their finale in the Texas Bowl against Minnesota was no different, scoring a game winning touchdown with only 1:14 left in the game.
