World Cup Playoffs – First Leg Results

Nothing is over, but some teams have huge leads towards the second leg. Ukraine stunned France with some wonderful counter attacking, beating the favorites 2-0, while Greece did concede an away goal but probably did enough with a 3-1 win over Romania. Cristiano Ronaldo won the battle of the stars, scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win over Sweden, while Iceland and Croatia ended their match in a goalless draw.

Houston Rockets – James Harden Playing Like Jeremy Lin Needs Him to For Once

At his best, James Harden makes the Houston Rockets a title contender. The problem is that his efficient and rather composed performance against the New York Knicks isn’t something the Houston Rockets get from him every night. Jeremy Lin, coming off the bench again, was finally happy with the kind of basketball he saw from his team and especially star teammate, but is it something he can count on happening again?

Andre Iguodala Saves Warriors From Embarrassing Collapse
If it wasn’t for Andre Iguodala hitting a buzzer-beater, game winning shot, there would have been many wondering just how the Golden State Warriors managed to drop a 14-point lead in the middle of the fourth quarter, even if it was to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Georgia Tech vs Clemson – Tajh Boyd Settles For Touchdown Records

This season should have been about more than personal achievements for Tajh Boyd, but Clemson lost to Florida State and lost their chance of doing something really special. Colts vs Titans – Never Count Out Andrew Luck and Co.

Everything was going fine for the Tennessee Titans early on, as Chris Johnson ran for two first quarter touchdowns. The ending, as most games are for teams playing against the Indianapolis Colts, wasn’t as satisfying for the home side, not scoring another touchdown until well into fourth quarter garbage time, losing 30-27 to their division rivals.

World Cup Playoffs – UEFA Zone Predictions

After two one-sided matches to open the playoff week that fills up the final berths heading into the World Cup, the UEFA zone encounters should provide a bit more parity, as Iceland take on Croatia, Greece host Romania, Portugal play Sweden and the Ukraine encounter France, while most of the attention goes to the duel between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sergio Vulcano – The Waiter That Looks Exactly Like Rafa Benitez

One of the more vicious nicknames Rafa Benitez got attached to him over the years is that of having the look of a Spanish waiter. Apparently, there’s a man in Napoli, Sergio Vulcano, who is a Benitez Doppelganger and happens to be working in the same profession.

Los Angeles Lakers – Pau Gasol Looking Old and Sad

Don’t be fooled by Pau Gasol scoring 25 points, a season high for him, in the 99-111 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Los Angeles Lakers have a problem and issue in almost every position and aspect of the game, but they expected the Spanish big man to be a solution to their early season woes, and not the exact opposite.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Better Without James Harden But Still Needs Him

The Houston Rockets losing 123-117 to the Philadelphia 76ers was a perfect example of how Jeremy Lin can be a great scorer when he doesn’t play next to James Harden, but how his team do need their injured shooting guard on the floor, if it was obvious in the first place, but also just how bad of a coaching job Kevin McHale has been doing.
