Liverpool FC – Luis Suarez a Villain, But a Very Good One

If anyone thought Luis Suarez will end up winning the PFA player of the year, he was in for a disappointment. The Uruguayan striker, keeping Liverpool in a respectable position (it would have been much worse without him), isn’t made for honors, when the first thoughts about him are usually those referring to his diving, cheating and sometimes violent conduct.

Manchester United – Robin van Persie Was the Only One Interested

Boredom and motivation is something Manchester United have been battling with, funny to say, for over a month now, with the Premier League title well secured for quite some time. Robin van Persie, making a return to a stadium he played at for eight seasons, against a hostile crowd, was the only one with a real reason to put on his best.

Arsenal FC – Santi Cazorla Is the Best They Can Do

And it’s not enough. If Santi Cazorla is the best player on a team, which he is for Arsenal, it means something hasn’t been working for Arsene Wenger in both player development and his eye for signings. There’s Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey, but those aren’t players that will lift the team from it’s current stature, into something more than contenders for a Champions League spot.

Chelsea FC – Eden Hazard, Juan Mata & Oscar Make Frank Lampard Look Good

Scoring goals through penalty kicks doesn’t make you a brilliant scorer, but compliments have always been easily showered on Frank Lampard, even when he doesn’t deserve them, and most of the credit in his “better” performances this season for Chelsea have come thanks to the creative trio in front of him, consisting of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Juan Mata.

Premier League Referees Still Don’t Know What an Offside is (Arsenal vs Manchester United)

In the end, it didn’t really matter. Manchester United equalized through Robin van Persie, but there wouldn’t have been a need for that if the opening Arsenal goal, scored by Theo Walcott, in a clear and blatant offside position, would have been disallowed, which was what Phil Dowd should have done.

Conferences With Most Players in the 2013 NFL Draft

If anyone wanted another example of just how dominant and better the SEC is when compared with the rest of college football, the 2013 NFL Draft proved to be another huge statement for the best conference in the sport, getting in more players than anyone else overall and obviously in the first round as well.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin Should Never Have Played in Game 3

For the second straight game, the Houston Rockets lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by 3 points. Jeremy Lin had another one that he won’t be too proud of, but there’s a good chance that without him the team would have done better – Lin played injured, leaving the game quite early looking quite limited (At best) during the time he did spend on the floor.

NBA Stars Injured & Missing the Playoffs

The recent string of season-ending injuries to NBA stars like Kobe Bryant and Russell Westbrook has just made the list even longer, with Rajon Rondo, David Lee, Danny Granger, Danilo Gallinari and Derrick Rose being the biggest names that should have been in the postseason.
-
Oklahoma City Thunder – Kevin Durant Doing it All Alone

He’s never played a playoff game without Russell Westbrook by his side, but Kevin Durant seemed quite comfortable doing everything on his own, despite everyone claiming the Oklahoma City Thunder and their title hopes are now doomed due to the season-ending injury to their All-Star point guard.
