Match Highlights – Arsenal vs Chelsea

The London derby had pace, chances, rain and a lot of fouls. It didn’t have goals, or enough bravery, especially from Chelsea, deciding that a 0-0 draw is quite alright with them. Arsenal were the better side and probably the more dangerous as the match dragged on, but not enough to make a real difference.

Houston Rockets – Jeremy Lin With a Chance to Star Without James Harden

Injuries to the team’s best guards have really shortened the backcourt rotation for the Houston Rockets, but Jeremy Lin is going to be back on the floor before James Harden and Patrick Beverley, giving him a chance to show just how good the team can be playing his style of basketball.

2013 NFL Season – Week 17 Playoff Scenarios

Only one week left in the 2013 NFL regular season, with four playoff spots up for grabs in the NFC, as the divisional battles take a front seat: The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers for the NFC North, Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East. The postseason scenarios are a bit more complicated in the AFC.

Timberwolves vs Clippers – Kevin Love Wins the Wrong Battle

Being a statistical beast isn’t helping Kevin Love getting any closer to his first playoff appearance. He might have proved he is the best power forward in the league by outscoring and outplaying Blake Griffin, but in the rough Western Conference the Minnesota Timberwolves just keep distancing themselves away from a postseason spot, losing 120-116 to the Los Angeles Clippers.
-
Raptors vs Thunder – Kevin Durant is a Sore Loser

The Toronto Raptors became the first Eastern conference team to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder this season, also ending their undefeated run at home. However, despite playing smarter and better basketball in the final moments, getting some big plays from Jonas Valanciunas, Kevin Durant made it seem like it was all about luck.

Celtics vs Pacers – Too Easy to be Taken Seriously

The Indiana Pacers from time to time get serious challenges from teams, even in the weak Eastern conference. However, the Boston Celtics, a legitimate playoff team according to the standings, looked like a bunch of college guys teaming up to play against pros, and the result was as you’d expect it to be.

Arizona Cardinals – Making the Season Last One Week Longer

One of the biggest surprises in week 16 of the 2013 NFL Season was the Seattle Seahawks losing at home for the first time in two years. It doesn’t hurt them too much, but it certainly gives the Arizona Cardinals a slightly better chance of making the playoffs, although winning next week won’t be enough for them, needing a little bit of outside help.

Patriots Humiliate Ravens – Tom Brady Always Finds a Way

The rivalry between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots isn’t about blowouts. It’s about close, mean, venom-filled games. Tom Brady marching the visiting Pats to a 41-7 in M&T Bank Stadium wasn’t something anyone had in mind, except for Bill Belichick.
-
Denver Broncos – Peyton Manning Sets Records That Might be Meaningless

The Denver Broncos need to be worried about their defense a lot more than they should be celebrating Peyton Manning setting yet another NFL record, this time for most touchdown passes in a single season. So he has one more thing to show that he’s a better individual than Tom Brady. Winning playoff games, fair or not, is how quarterbacks are measured.

Philadelphia Eagles – Ruin it for the Chicago Bears More Than Anything Else

As things turned out, the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t have to put on a show against the Chicago Bears, because they still need to win on the last week of the season. However, sacking Jay Cutler more than anyone has this season while keeping things interesting in the NFC North for one week longer did work out quite well for the rest of the league.
